In the novel, every time Simon was standing at home, Sylvia dared not to sit; when he was sitting, Sylvia would stand next to him, serving tea and food.
"Why are so eager to have a divorce?" Simon had an unpleasant expression, partly because he felt Sylvias attitude toward him changed.
"Because it is good for you and your kids in that womans body. You dont want your baby to be called an illegitimate child, do you?" I said calmly but in my head, I thought, "Divorce is just my first step. Punishment is waiting for you, Simon."
Simon nodded with emotions in his eyes which I couldnt see through. Is sadness or pity or guilt in his eyes?
"Here is the new divorce paper. Have a look," he slowly took it out from his briefcase and pushed it in front of me.
I couldnt wait to pick it up but his hand pressed hard against it.
"Are you regretting?" I asked on purpose to irritate him.
"Sylvia, tell me the truth. Are you sick? Or do you hide something from me? Do you lack money or is there someone who forced you to do so?" Simon looked at me with expectations as if he was waiting for me to say yes.
"I just want to say you are overthinking it," regardless of his stiff face, I pushed him away, starting to read the agreement carefully. All the terms in it are clear and I could get half his property.
I quickly wrote down my name, Sylvia Hughes.
"Now you can transfer the money to me. I just want cash and as for the immovable property, it is all yours. I dont want your company and house. As long as I receive the money, I will move out of your place immediately.
"Yes," Simon stood up and his back made him look lonely.
When I finished packing, I got a message on my phone which made me sure about that I received a large amount of money from Simon. Half of Simons property was never a small number.
After I complete my plan, dealing with these two people and finishing my cancer operation, I am going to travel around the world with Gavin, with Simons money! What a great idea!
Outside the door, a low-key black luxury car was waiting for me.
Seeing me, Gavin got out of the car and helped me put my package in his cars trunk gently.
"Thank you so much for coming to pick me up, Gavin," I said to him.
"Sylvia, you dont have to say thank you. I am glad you asked me for help instead," Gavin smiled like an innocent boy.
I took the last look at the luxury villa and the wedding room for Sylvia and Simon. It was time to leave here and I surprisingly couldnt dray myself away for a while.
I took two thick envelopes from my handbag and put them into the letterbox outside the villa.
Suddenly, I was relieved.
"Lets go, Gavin. Since you do me a favor today, how about having a meal together? My treat!"
Looking aside, I noticed Gavins perfect side face as if it was designed by God. Gavin is a very gentle and considerate man. I admitted that I liked his face. Though the original Sylvia didnt like him, I was going to date this hot man.
"Id love to," he said.
At this moment, I got a piece of news feed in my phone --- The CEO of the Hughes Corporation engaged to Bertha Rogers.
I sneered, "How anxious is this woman! The day I got divorced, the news of her marrying Simon was spreading. It seemed that Bertha couldnt wait for another second.
Suddenly, I expected to see her expression when she got the surprise from me.
The next day, my hotel room was knocked hard so I got out of the bed in anger, opened the door, and was about to roar, "What the hell are you doing? I was still sleeping!"
It was Simon who was standing out of the door. He was holding a diary with a miserable face.
Then he asked, "Sylvia, you are the girl who saved me?"
