"Miss, that is...
The butler, Abel, suddenly pointed forward and stammered, his voice extremely horrified.
Audrey Turnah looked up and saw that in the morning light, on the top floor of the seven-story villa of the Turnah Family landscape, a figure like a broken kite fell rapidly, and hit the ground heavily. Blood splattered everywhere, Audrey Turnahs rushing footsteps froze suddenly, and the sky was dark for a while.
Her world, at this moment, suddenly collapsed.
"Dad!!!" Audrey screamed.
Heart-wrenching cries resounded through the quiet landscape in the early morning, causing crows and birds in their parks to swoosh.
Audrey Turnah staggered towards him, her knees softened, and she knelt in front of her father, Peter Turnah, crying bitterly.
"Audrey, Im afraid I cant do anything about it, so I am going down this road. The family is in debt, and we have gone bankrupt," Peter told his daughter.
Abel, the butler, burst into tears.
The previous day, Peter was on the phone and his voice was low and anxious. He was trying to negotiate with banks and other viable establishments to borrow some money but no one was forthcoming.
Audrey Turnahs tears gushed out like broken beads. Her liver and intestines were cramping, and she was about to faint.
Yesterday, her father suddenly called her and said that he had kept aside some money to let her live a good life abroad, she knew that something had gone wrong and that her father must be hiding something from her.
She bought a plane ticket to return home overnight, but in the end, she was still one step behind.
Audrey Turnah sobbed until her chest hurt:
"The Family has been doing well, how can we suddenly go bankrupt?" She asked nobody in particular.
It was all Jerry Danks fault. He set a trap for the Turnah family. He deliberately targeted the Turnah family and made them miserable!
Abel became angry.
"Its true. All of this is Jerrys doing. He returned to Bullen city, this time to get revenge on the Turnah family!"
Ah! Jerry Dank. The nerve, Abel muttered and smacked his right fist in his left palm.
These words came from the depths of a distant memory. Could it be him, was he back?
The sound of steady footsteps came, and someone vaguely walked towards her.
Audrey raised her head, and through her hazy tears, she saw a man.
A well-tailored black suit exuded a cold air from head to toe. A man with an unusually handsome face but strangely cold eyes were looking down at her quietly.
She knew this person, but she didnt seem to know from where.
Is this not the handsome boy with black pants and a white shirt in my memory? Audrey wondered.
He was the one Abel said. After he left Bullen City for several years, he returned to Bullen City to take revenge for the Dank family, the founder of GEMSTONE COMMUNICATIONS, the worlds communications giant, Jerry Dank.
Not far behind Jerry Dank, stood Abel, who was stopped by several indifferent-looking bodyguards and could not come over.
"Miss," Abel wiped away his tears and looked strangely sad, Dank family is now in his hands," he told Audrey.
All the assets under the Turnah familys name had been seized and auctioned, even the old house was no exception. The buyer was Jerry Dank.
In a short period, the Turnah family had transformed for the worst.
The industry that had been painstakingly managed by generations of people and the reputation of the Turnah family in the business world have all been destroyed and turned to dust.
Audrey Turnah stood up slowly, her long-standing grief and prolonged crying made her dizzy and she almost fell.
The man reached out his hand to support her at the right time, his arms were steady and strong.
She pushed him away with a pale face and gritted her teeth:
"Why? Why did you do this to my father?" Audrey asked the man.
The man stared at her expressionlessly, with a pair of bottomless black eyes, like a secluded pool of broken ice floating in winter, and a voice extremely cold, he asked her back: "Why dont you ask yourself?"
Audrey Turnah was stunned. Nearly forgotten childhood and old experiences came to her mind little by little, and she instantly fell into an ice cave.
Many years ago, she liked Jerry Dank, but Jerry Dank rejected her after she told him how she felt.
Angrily, she called her father and cried to him. To avenge her anger, her father forced Jerry Dank to drop out of school and leave Bullen and used his prowess to make the Dank family company go bankrupt.
Jerry Danks father was greatly stimulated and died soon after a sudden cerebral haemorrhage, and Jerry Dank disappeared.
Who would have thought that now Jerry Dank had become a business giant, he would return to Bullen and seek revenge on the Turnah family.
So in the end, it was her fault that her family was in crisis.
"So, you took revenge on the Turnah family because of me?" Audrey asked the man.
He looked down at her, his dark eyes filled with indescribable meaning.
"Audrey Turnah," he said word by word, "Ive been looking for you for a long time. Now that I have found you, there should be an end between us."
The mans voice was extremely low, but it was frosty and cold.
He could smell Audreys fear.
He has been looking for her for a long time? Because he couldnt find her, and he couldnt get revenge on her, so he vented all his hatred on the Turnah family.
Audrey burst into tears
"Jerry Dank, the person you hate is me. you shouldnt come at..."
Audrey was about to choke on her words. To death.
Why do you say so? Should your fathers wrong not be visited? Jerry asked her
Back then, the Turnah family treated the Dank family like this!
Audrey Turnah was dazed. She felt as if she was having a nightmare.
But her fathers cold and stiff body, and the dark blood on the ground, reminded her that this was not a dream, but cruel, bloody reality.
She wanted to say something, but couldnt. She wanted to cry, but it felt as if her heart was blocked by a boulder, and she couldnt even make a sound.
Her body trembled so badly that she fainted.
When she woke up again, her people, for some unknown reason, ended up in prison.
Through the thick prison glass, Audrey Turnah saw Leopold Demp in a prison uniform with shackles on his hands.
Apart from her father and brother, Leopold Demp was the closest person to her. They played from childhood to adulthood. They were like siblings.
But they were not siblings.
The heroic young man with clear facial features and high spirits in her memory now looked haggard, with an irresistible depression and sadness between his eyebrows and eyes.
Leopold Demp was originally the boss of a film and television company, but he was set up to be involved in a rape scandal. Not to mention his reputation, he was also punished by the court for several crimes such as illegal business operations and tax evasion and was sentenced to 18 years in prison. Billions in fines were imposed, and the company went completely bankrupt.
The only person who can make Leopold Demp so miserable was Jerry Dank.
Except for him, no one can make the Turnah and Demp family push the wall down overnight.
Audrey Turnah walked out of the prison, and went directly to Jerry Danks company. She wanted to beg him to let Leopold Demp go, no matter what the cost, but she couldnt see him. She was not allowed to. Yet, she was forcibly sent to the lunatic asylum by several men in black.
"Mr Dank doesnt want to see you."
Someone spoke to her. Her face was blurred in mist, and her face could not be seen clearly, but her tone was cruel:
Before long, Audrey Turnah went completely crazy.
On a night of thunder and lightning, Audrey Turnah went to the same tragic end as her father: Jumping down from the thirteenth floor of the mental hospital, blood splashed on a rainy night, and dying.
