"Marry me, have a child for me, and Ill help the Thompson family through their crisis."

Dressed in a finely tailored suit, every detail, even the cufflinks, spoke of its craftsmanship. Alexander Hamilton casually twirled a glass of red wine, his lips curled into a smile, but his eyes held no warmth.

Lily Thompsons face, initially furious at being brought here against her will, turned to disbelief as she stared at him.

Who was this man? In Riverside City, no one was unaware of or unfamiliar with him.

Alexander Hamilton, the sole power-holder of the Hamilton family in Riverside City. The wealthiest and most eligible bachelor, it was rumored that he once had a fianc茅e who fled before the engagement, her whereabouts still unknown.

Lily didnt see what made her the right choice for him. Many would line up around Riverside City two or three times over to marry Alexander Hamilton. She didnt think she was the best candidate, especially when her status in the Thompson family was non-existent!

The Thompson family was indeed facing a significant problem. Without a substantial influx of funds, they would vanish from Riverside City.

Lily never felt responsible for the Thompson family, even though the current head, her biological father, was in charge.

"Why? You should know it would be better to go back and find the Thompson familys eldest daughter."

After a moment, Lily composed her shocked expression, sat calmly across from Alexander, and asked with a slight frown.

The Thompson familys eldest daughter, her half-sister, had been infatuated with Alexander Hamilton after meeting him once. She believed only someone like him was worthy of her.

At this thought, Lily couldnt help but feel a chill in her heart.

Before making this decision, Alexander had, of course, researched extensively. Among the suitable candidates, only this person would do.

Hearing her doubtful tone, Alexander wasnt worried she would refuse because what she wanted, only he could provide!

"Youre not that much trouble."

Hearing Alexanders explanation, Lily couldnt help but twitch her lips. Was it just because of that?

"You know, the Thompson family is insignificant in my eyes, whether it thrives or falls."

Since this person said that finding her wasnt much trouble, then he should also know her attitude towards the Thompson family.

The Thompson family was in crisis, and getting a woman to bear him an heir without much effort was a bonus!

"Agreed."

The two, in agreement, were led by a bodyguard to the County Clerks Office. There was no need to wait in line; people were already waiting for them when they arrived.

Half an hour later, Lily stepped out, looking at the blazing sun above. She raised her hand to shield her eyes, allowing herself to adjust before lowering it.

"Hello, Mr. Hamilton. Lets get reacquainted. Im Lily Thompson."
