Explain what?
Hilda was in pain and her head was blank, "I...Raymond... I didnt do that to Karen."
It was true that Hilda loved Raymond deeply but she had never thought of stealing him from other women because she was clear that she had few days left because she had a heart defect. All she prayed for was that Raymond could live a happy life.
Raymond was not surprised by Hildas answer and he used more strength in his pinch on her chin and said without emotion, "You love me very much, right?"
Hilda was in such great pain that her chin turned numb. She could see a sneer and hate in his eyes.
"Yes, I love you," she still decided to say the truth and show her weakness.
Raymond turned up the corners of his mouth with a sneer and tore the hospital gown off her, "You like me like any man, right?"
His behavior made Hilda tremble in fear!
Hildas face turned more and more pale while gripping hard her gown. Looking at Raymond with begging eyes, she said brokenly, "No! No! You cant do... this to me! I havent done that! I...knew nothing about this matter! I...really...really...didnt know! You...CANT do this to me!"
For Raymond, Hilda risked her life to do the heart surgery even if she knew it was possible that she might die on the surgery table. With the success of this surgery, Hilda thought happily that she could be with him in the future but why, why would he react so furiously after she woke up?
Raymond had never been so cruel to her before.
He used to be her best friend who cared about her and even spoiled her.
Raymond suddenly squeezed her throat with great force, "I cant do this to you? You didnt know? Hilda Parker, do you know how much I want to kill you right now?"
But he couldnt because Hilda had Karens heart. If she died, then Karen would literally leave him.
Thinking of this, Raymond loosed his grip on her neck...
The moment he let go of her, Hilda, who almost lost consciousness, gulped in air. An intense pain in her heart made her curl up on the floor.
Raymond frowned and looked at Hilda with disgust, saying to that group of men, "This woman is at your mercy now."
His words were like a verdict, giving her no chance to defend herself.
"Raymond..." Hilda still had the last hope at the bottom of her heart and asked him with all her might, "Do you believe...believe that I did all this to Karen? You think I am guilty, right?"
Raymonds eyes were covered with coldness and if you take a closer look, you can see a touch of irritation in his eyes as well.
Looking at those men who were still huddling in the corner, Raymond said coldly, "If you are not interested in her, I can get other men here."
What Raymond said froze those men who dared not to step forward to Hilda at first. Some men then walked to Hilda and looked at this pale-faced but still beautiful woman.
Raymonds words made the hope in Hildas heart completely fade.
Physical and mental pain almost made her suffocate. Hilda looked at him in desperation while he was like an indifferent passerby. Finally, she gave up and said, "We are over, Raymond Morris."
For a split second, a part of Raymonds heart ached.
It was an instant pain but made him quite irritated.
Suppressing upset at the bottom of his heart, Raymond looked at those quiet men and said coldly, "You can do anything to her. Just keep her alive."
