"This does not belong to me."
Hellen emotionlessly retorted.
She would not leave such a thing in his house, so it could only be placed by Chole.
"Stop pretending."
Edward was not sold by her cold attitude: "I know how horny you are under the calm disguise. You still want to sleep with me, dont you?"
The mans mean words successfully extinguished the last warmth in Hellens heart.
"Its moral for a single woman like me to be horny", she said word by word: "But you are different from me. You have a lover whos been in love with you for seven years."
"Come on, is this the first day you know about Chole?"
Edwards tone sounded even more sarcastic: "Stop making excuses!"
When this, he strode forward and grasped Hellen.
Combining with Hellen again, Edward took a relieved sigh.
At this moment, the emptiness which kept haunting him recently was filled again.
Hellen had become stiff as a puppet since Edward dominated her, all she could do was shedding tears.
"Dont cry."
Edward gently kissed her and said: "I know you love me, but thats the only thing I can give you. Chole will be my wife, and no one can change that."
His gentle tone and cruel words formed an extreme contrast, mercilessly shattering Hellens broken heart.
"Edward…"
She bit her lips regardless of whether it was bleeding: "I am tired of loving you."
The sky turned bright as Edward was satisfied.
He left without looking back, leaving Hellen wrapped in loneliness in the apartment.
Staring at the ceiling for quite a while, Hellen finally calmed down after draining her tears.
She decided to move out of the apartment, and into some places where Edward could not find her again.
It was never easy for her to let go of the love she devoted so much to, but staying away from him could somewhat help.
To find a proper place, she even asked for a day off.
After a days effort, she finally found a good place that was convenient and economical enough.
When she was about to contact the moving company, a message suddenly appeared in her sight: "I am Chole. We need to talk."
Hellen tightly clenched her mobile phone but was not very surprised.
Because she knew this was inevitable.
Chole arranged their meeting in a café.
"Take a seat."
She smiled and went straight to the point: "Thank you for taking care of Edward for me."
"Im not doing that for you."
Hellen faintly answered.
Chole was the only one who knew the relationship between Edward and her because it was she who tricked her into sleeping with Edward.
"Whatever you think."
Chole did not mind her attitude: "I am telling you that Im getting married to Edward. So youd better stay away from him."
"Thank you for the reminder", Hellen secretly clenched her hands under the table and maintained calm in appearance: "He is not as popular as you think."
"Thats the best."
Chole nodded and was about to leave.
Suddenly, she thought of something and turned to Hellen: "Dont forget to go home tomorrow. Mom wants to see you."
"She wants to see me?"
Hellen frowned with confusion and soon realized the reason.
Tomorrow turned out to be her birthday—
Also, the day Adam Piffer, her father, died.
