Nansen did not believe Jennifer in his heart, and there was obvious repulsion and disgust in his eyes.
But he thought Jennifer got one thing right. Even if he couldnt trust her, he could give her the legwork and treat her as a nurse.
Nansen seemed to acquiesce to what she said, so Jennifer was excited and said softly, "It is very late now, and I know you might not be used to sleeping with me, so I am going to ask the servant for a quilt and sleep on the floor. What do you think?"
Nansen frowned, not hiding his disgust for Jennifer, "If I say you cant sleep here, will you get out?"
Then Ill take that as a ‘Yes!" Jennifer talked to herself with a sweet smile on her face.
Nansen thought Jennifers smile was very strange, and he irritatedly pushed away Jennifer, who was crouching in front of him.
Before she came to the Fields, Jennifer had already made mental preparations.
There were rumors that Nansen was grumpy, and he even once made one of his servants a cripple and drove his nurses crazy.
Nansens attitude toward her was much better than she had expected.
At least, he didnt hit her with the stick beside him.
Jennifer had always been a person who was easy to satisfy. That explained why she still stayed positive even if she was ignored by her father in the Greens all these years.
Now she had a family, no longer alone.
Jennifer quickly played the role of Nansens wife. She filled the bathtub and made the bed for him quickly and left.
These were what she always did in the Greens so it wouldnt be difficult for her.
Jennifer had been nervous all day so when she knew Nansen started to accept her, and she was going to have a family, she felt relieved and fell asleep quickly.
Ten minutes later.
Hearing Jennifers breath gradually slowing down, Nansen opened his eyes.
He pulled away the cover, and looked coldly at Jennifer who was sleeping well on the floor, and then he kicked her with his toes.
Nansen still did not trust Jennifer for sure.
The reason why he let Jennifer stay in his room was that even if he refused, his uncle would still secretly keep an eye on him.
So it was better to let Jennifer stay with him and see what her intention was.
He extinguished the scented candles on his bedside table and then walked toward the cloakroom. He could walk normally.
Jennifer slept well last night, and did not even have a dream.
When she woke up, the room was still very dark because of the curtain. When she looked at her watch, she knew it was already half past nine. She couldnt believe she got up late this time.
She usually got up earlier and she would get up at half past five to help the servants in the Greens prepare breakfast.
Jessica was a fussy eater, and she asked the servants to do all kinds of food just for breakfast so they had to get up early to prepare.
She got up and took a look at Nansen. He hadnt gotten up yet.
She felt relieved and then packed her things on the floor quietly. She went into the bathroom to wash up, and then went downstairs to prepare breakfast for Nansen.
"Are you the illegitimate child of the Greens? Did you marry Nansen?"
Jennifer had just walked to the staircase when she came across a yellow-haired man in his early twenties.
He smiled evilly, with one of his hands in the pocket and the car key in the other hand. He threw the key in the air and caught it, again and again.
Jennifer frowned but nodded her head in greeting.
When she bypassed the man and was about to go downstairs, the man blocked her way, and his sight landed on her chest with bad intentions, "A thin and small body, but the chest is quite material."
