  Sapphire Hotel.

A dark skinned woman in her late twenties stood at attention with both hands behind her back, as she waited patiently on the man sitting across her.

His face was buried inside his palms, as his shoulders jerked up and down uncontrollably, aligning with his uneven breaths.

"Mr Curran, Ive discreetly contacted all the nearest pharmacies, but none of them have the exact prescription. As we speak, Ive dispatched your driver to return to your Villa and get your medication." The woman unequivocally spoke, averting her gaze from the man in a Retro dark blue three piece suit.

The woman whose twin braids highlighted her hazel eyes, sauntered over to the dresser and poured some water into a glass. She dropped a see through bag on the surface, then presented the water to him.

"Where...Where is she?" He managed to inquire, stretching his hands to take the glass of her hands.

"The moment we arrived at the venue, she sped off without a word sir, I was looking into her whereabouts when youre condition suddenly took a turn for the worse." Almost as if on cue, her phone vibrated in her breast pocket.

The woman pulled out a phone from her yellow striped jacket suit, and glanced at the screen.

"What is it?" He asked with venom in his voice, the moment he noticed how her eyes narrowed at the text.

"Its about your wife sir, I just got word that shes been in an accident, shes been admitted to a teaching hospital." Her slender fingers pushed up her glasses, which had almost fallen from the bridge of her nose.

He made a hiss sound as a response, then tried standing up, his vision locked on the door.

However, just as he managed to get up, the door bursted open and like a hurricane, a blonde woman in a sexy black dress barged in, unannounced.

And in her tight right grip was a pack of medications, his medications.

"Here! I was able to find a pharmacy that had your exact prescription." She cried, frantically waving the medicine over her head.

The other womans face flushed in relief, her hands instinctively rested on her heart. She spared no second to take the drug off her hands and pour another glass of water.

"My wife..." Mr Curran moaned under his breath, his finger tips gently massaging the tip of his forehead as he struggled with his blurred vision.

The blonde woman hooked his arms over her shoulders and led him to the bed, then gently placed him at the edge, never once letting go of his hand.

"Lets take off these restrictions." She told him as her fingers peeled off his jacket from his back. Next, she carefully removed his cufflinks then neatly rolled up his sleeves.

"Here sir, take this and youll feel more relaxed in under ten minutes." The woman presumed to be his assistant said, crouching down to administer his medication.

"One last thing." The blonde woman said and smiled, her green eyes zoned in on the gold band worn on his ring finger, which had the initials RC boldly engraved on it.

She loosened her grip on his hand and made an attempt to gently slide it down his finger, a satisfied grin plastered on her cherry red lipstick lips.

"Dont." He firmly retracted his hand and shot her a death glare, despite the uneasiness and discomfort he was feeling.

The woman pursued her lips and curled her fingers into a tight fist, her right eye twitched in rage. She made another attempt to take his hand, but he refused it and rested both hands in between his thighs.

"The medicine will soon take effect sir, just relax here for a moment, Ill communicate with the organisers of the event and have them know something urgent came up." The dark skinned woman stated, taking some steps back to give him room to breathe.

He merely nodded at what she said, barely catching any of it, at that moment he wasnt the famous actor Haines Curran, neither was he the demanding husband. At the moment, he was a man suffering from high level anxiety and an irritable case of hyperglycemia.

"Lets give him the room." Said his assistant, standing in front of the half opened door, signalling the other woman to take her leave. In her left hand, was the see through bag, which contained something brown inside.

She rolled her eyes then let out a suppressed sigh, "Ill be back." Her hands groped his thigh while she spoke in a tender tone, something the assistant raised a brow at.

The woman in silver stilettos followed the assistant outside then swiftly shut the door behind her.

"Did you bring what I asked for?" Asked the blonde lady in a sultry tone, the assistant nodded and presented the bag to the lady in black.

She reached into the bag and pulled out a silky brown wig having precise Birkin bangs, her lips drew back into sinister smile.

"Thisll do. Send the dress to room number eight five, and dont make me wait."

"But, what about Mrs Curran?" The assistant fearfully asked in a hush hush tone, her eyes widened in realization.

The woman pinched her temples and dismally swayed her head from side to side, "what does that low born have to do with anything? She wont be able to make it in time for the award ceremony anyways. Just keep this between you and me, understood?" The fierce gaze in her eyes made the assistant nod in defeat.

"Yes maam." She said then took her leave to inform the organisers that her boss would shortly return to the venue.

  *Hospital*

Laying down on a hospital bed, was a brown haired woman in a red sleeveless body hug dress, with a band-aid on the left side of her neck and another on her right cheekbone.

Her long brown lashes flickered as she slowly lifted them up, soft moans escaped her red vermillion lipstick lips.

It took a moment for her eyes to adjust to the bright light in the room, and a minute for her to sit up straight.

"My back, did I fall down the stairs again?" The woman asked herself, rubbing her right palm against an achy spot on her lower back.

"No, you were brought to this hospital because you were in an accident." A distinct voice informed from a corner of the hospital room, casually switching on the TV.

"Accident? Hospital?" She touched the side of her neck to feel the band-aid, clear proof she had indeed been in an accident.

"You were found passed out in front of a childrens park by a kind bystander, its fortunate you only sprained your ankle." The nurse explained, navigating through the channels, till she arrived at a station airing the award ceremony.

The nurse pulled herself a chair and sat beside her patient, "judging by your clothes, you might have been on your way to the award ceremony happening at the biggest hall in the city." Deduced the overly excited nurse.

"Award ceremony?" She echoed shifting her gaze from the wedding ring on her finger, to the medium sized television in the room.

"Dont waste your breath trying to attend, the ceremony is invite only, common folks like us can only live stream." While she spoke freely, the nurse failed to see the look of discomfort on the patients face.

*Announcer: Last but not least, the award for best actor of the year goes to....*

Even though it was just an ordinary hospital room, the tension was so thick, as if they were present in the flesh.

*Announcer: Hollywoods most desired man of the season...Haines Curran!*

Immediately following the announcement, flashes of memories flooded her brain, as she rapidly recollected what had happened to her.

*Announcer: Mr Haines is accompanied by his beautiful wife to collect his award, ladies and gents a round of applause for Mrs Renée.*

"Look! Its his hidden wife, I hear shes actually his first love from highschool." The nurse filled her in, paying too much attention to the television.

The perplexed woman zoned her vision on a woman in a similar red dress, same as the one she had on. She had tinted shades on and wrapped a large feathered scarf around the lower half of her face, down to her neck.

"That cant be! That cant be! Who is she?!" Cried the woman frantically, "shes an imposter!" Her panicked screeches gripped the nurses attention.

"That woman on that stage isnt me!" The woman continued to chant, running her panicked fingers through her messy brown hair.

All of a sudden, her lower abdomen started to hurt, which caused her to curl her back in discomfort.

"Aaaaaah!" She groaned in pain, never once diverting her attention from the television screen.

The nurses eyes scanned her body for clues, till her gaze landed on the red, blood stained sheets.
