Snow was falling heavily. Every winter, Frost City was covered in a vast white blanket of snow. Isabella Grey walked barefoot through the snow, her soul seemingly lost. Her hair was scattered across her face, sticking to her tears, her pupils were dilated as she stared blankly ahead. She had just left Alexander Hunters place, happy to go, only to find the two of them, disheveled, hugging together when she pushed open the door.
Even after walking a great distance, Isabella could still hear her own voice, full of pain and questioning. She couldnt believe Alexander would treat her this way. Hadnt he always loved her, Isabella Grey?
Her loss of control must have been laughable in the eyes of the man and woman. The disdain in the eyes of the seductive woman in Alexanders arms was so obvious, without any cover-up.
Her sight was a bit blurred, and Isabella seemed to see the scene that had just happened playing again in front of her eyes. She thought that with their long-standing relationship, Alexander would defend her in front of the third person, even if it was just a play.
But the reality gave her another slap in the face. Not only did Alexander not prove her identity as a girlfriend, but he also lifted her chin in front of that woman, forcing her to look directly at him, then his thin lips opened: "Stupid woman, you really think you are a thing? I was just playing."
Playing, he was just playing, and she took it seriously, lost her heart.
Now that he has a new woman in his arms, she is just a stupid woman.
Then when Alexander pulled the woman into his arms again, she turned and ran out.
The cold snow froze Isabellas feet, and she couldnt take another step. She squatted on the side of the road.
She remembered the first time she heard about Alexander Hunter, he was cold and ruthless, and he didnt get close to men and women. But when she really saw him, she was shocked, there was such a man in the world, his appearance and figure were impeccable, as if he was the most successful work of art, and his demeanor was extraordinary.
Later, by chance, she was with him, and those days may have been the happiest days of her twenty years...
The cold and pain came together, and Isabella felt sore all over, and her head was dizzy.
She wanted to go home. Although there was no love, she still had family, and there were family members waiting for her to go home.
She endured her discomfort and walked to the side of the road, hailing a taxi.
"Master, go to Little Fish Hill."
After arriving, Isabella walked up the road. Although she was in a low mood, she thought that she would not tell them about her and Alexander Hunter for the time being, so as not to worry them.
She had only walked for a while when she saw a fire burning not far away. She was shocked and knew what was in that direction. She couldnt slow down her steps anymore and ran towards that direction, but suddenly stopped, unable to believe what she saw.
Her familys villa was in the middle of a sea of fire, and the raging fire dyed the sky red, and even more, it made Isabella collapse and was on the verge of collapse. She slowly moved her gaze and saw that person.
Standing on the high ground not far away was Alexander Hunter and his group, a strong smell of blood directly pierced Isabellas nostrils. She felt dizzy and wanted to rush up to die with that person, but her legs were numb and couldnt move at all.
A person held her from behind, it was Uncle Lin, the butler!
"Miss, hurry up and leave. The chairman and his wife... hurry up, Ethan has been sent away. There are only you two left in the Grey family." Uncle Lins gentle voice was panicked and desperate as never before.
"Whats going on, Uncle Lin?" Isabella heard her own voice, hoarse and unrecognizable, coming from her throat.
"Dont ask so much, your boyfriend, Mr. Hunter, is the archenemy of the Grey family. Miss, hurry up and leave." Uncle Lins old face was already full of tears.
"No! I want to fight with him!" Isabella said and ran towards there.
"Dont be silly! Go!" Uncle Lin pushed Isabella onto a car and saw the fire getting bigger and bigger. Isabella felt for the first time that it was over.
Great grief made her almost crazy. She beat the car window: "Stop the car!"
Before the driver could stop the car, she got up to grab the steering wheel. A big truck coming towards her made Isabella flash in front of her eyes and fell into darkness...
When she woke up again, the room was full of pleasant fragrances. Isabella slowly opened her eyes.
"Are you awake?" A beautiful voice like the sound of nature came into Isabellas ears. She turned her eyes to see him.
"Im here."
The man came closer so she could see him.
What a man he was, with silver hair, eyes shining like glass, a nose as high as a foreigner, but his face was definitely Oriental, and his thin lips were raised with a beautiful radian. This appearance was definitely better than any Golden Horse Award actor.
Isabella looked at him stupidly, and the man couldnt help but smile: "Are you shocked by my beauty?"
Isabella didnt speak, and then all the things before the coma came into her mind like a movie. She frowned painfully and struggled to get up.
Samuel Grant came over to hold her and said softly, "Youre just fine, dont think so much."
Isabella grabbed his arm and cried, "But my family has been killed, and it was done by my boyfriend. I..."
She didnt know what to say. The pain in her beautiful eyes made Samuel feel distressed. He patted her back and said softly, "I know, its all over, if you want to go back for revenge, I can help you, dont be afraid, Im here."
His voice seemed to have magic, and Isabella suddenly became quiet. Because she was too tired, she lay on the bed with her eyes closed and pretended to sleep. Samuel went out.
Isabella sorted out these things in her mind, but she couldnt understand why it suddenly became like this. Her body had not recovered and was very weak, and she fell asleep again after a while.
When Isabella woke up the next day, Samuel was sitting in front of her bed looking at her face. When she opened her eyes, he came straight to her and said directly, "Now, I have to tell you a bad thing. Your face is too damaged to restore to the original appearance, but its not impossible..."
"Thats easier to change a face, right?" Isabella interrupted him.
Samuel raised his eyebrows and looked at her, "Oh?"
Isabella bit her lip and said, "I want to change a more beautiful face, it must be very beautiful, can you help me?"
Change a face, change an identity, change a person. From the moment Uncle Lin pushed her into the car, Isabella never thought of letting it go. The lives of more than a dozen people in the Grey family made her unable to rest for the rest of her life.
"Of course! If you want, I can also give you a new identity, and no one will recognize you again, of course, except for me." Samuels voice rang in Isabellas ears, and she suddenly felt a bit stunned. She thought about it and asked, "How powerful are you? Can you even ignore Alexander Hunter?"
Samuel thought seriously with his head tilted, then said, "Well, actually, its not very powerful..." He suddenly approached her, and his voice was warm, "But its more than enough to protect a woman."
He finished and got up, and Isabellas heart was very nervous when he approached. It was tense and depressed, but he was obviously so relaxed.
Dont believe anyone easily, Isabella said to herself. She had no reason or capital to choose to be simple and naive again. Even though she often couldnt see people clearly, she knew that the person in front of her was definitely not simple.
"How can you help me, what do you need me to repay? I have nothing now." Isabella asked. Any payment is based on the premise of extracting rewards.
"Saving you was just a fluke, as for what kind of repayment you need to make, you will know later."
For Isabellas defense, Samuel didnt say much. He admitted that he was not a good person, even though he had seen this little woman before.
Isabella looked at him in surprise and suddenly felt speechless. She didnt like Samuels words, which would make her feel burdened, but she had no choice but to accept it.
"So, tell me, whats your name, or what do you want to be called?"
"Can I really have a new identity, and no one will recognize me?" Isabella felt that all these things were like a dream. Soon, she would become another person.
"Well." Samuel said, walked to a cabinet next to him, took out a book, and the book recorded countless plants. He flipped to a page with his slender
and slender fingers and handed it to Isabella, saying, "How about this name?"
Isabellas gaze fell on those two words: Poppy.
She smiled bitterly and said, "Good."
The surgery arranged by Samuel for Isabella was tomorrow, and now Isabella could barely get out of bed. Her body still felt like it was pieced together after being shattered, and although it was all pieced together, she was always afraid that it would suddenly fall apart at some moment.
Isabella went to the mirror and looked at herself in the mirror. Her face was almost covered with white cloth except for her eyes, nose, and mouth. The eyes that were once more beautiful than the stars were pale and gray at the moment, and a strong hatred was making a noise: Alexander Hunter, I will never forgive you, never, you will be retributed!
Her eyes gradually became cold...
"Ill take you out to see it. I believe you will like it." Samuel said, and before Isabella agreed, he asked the servant to bring a wheelchair and helped Isabella onto it, pushing Isabella out.
Out of the long corridor and stairs, the view in front of you is very open, with green grass and a lake not far away.
"This is Berkshire Manor, located in the southeast corner of the United States," Samuel introduced.
"Is it your home?" Isabella asked.
"Home? Oh, no, of course not." Samuel seemed to hear a joke and denied it.
