Insanely addicted

　　Lucille Evans opened the door, flung her party shoes away and not caring which way the poor shoes went, said in greeting,

　　" Hey bitches! Im back" she said in that nonchalant attitude of hers. Her mother, Diana Evans looked at her with disapproval but didnt say anything. Lucille casually walked into her bedroom to have a long, nice shower. She went past her mother, whose gaze continue to bare in on her until she was out of sight.

　　Diana Evans sighed before calling out to Melody upstairs " Mel honey!". Their father died in a plane crash when they were barely five so the twins didnt really remember how their Dad looked.

　　The 23 year old Melody came out of her room and went downstairs looking as bored and quiet as usual.

　　Looking at her, one wouldnt believe there was a beauty lying within her that she hid beneath the ugly and old fashioned hoodie and joggers. The only traces of that beauty were her eyes and hair. She had big, beautiful grey eyes like a pregnant cloud when looked at deeply. She had a fragile, Take Good Care Of Me body. Her hair was the color of fire, a reddish brown color.

　　She was always on her big rimmed glasses that made her look like a nerd. One could say she was one.

　　" What is it, Mom?" She asked, tapping her left foot impatiently, an habit she does whenever she was being disturbed.

　　" Can you quickly go to the grocery store for me? I have to meet up with Laura, You know her daughter is getting married next month " She placed the money in her hands, kissed her cheeks and grabbed her bag which was lying on the table and went out.

　　Mel sighed, not so happy that she would be unable to get her beauty sleep on time. She sighed again, took the list on the table and proceeded to go to the store.

　　She went into her twins room and popped her head in. Lucille was sitting at the dressing table, combing out her long, blonde hair. She looked back at Mel and raised her eyebrows in a questioning way. They looked very much alike but Mel was not really sophisticated and didnt dress herself up like Luci did, so it was not hard for people to differentiate Mel and Luci. And another thing was, while Lucis hair was blonde, Mels was auburn.

　　" Luci, Im going to the grocery store, Ill be back soon"

　　" Gotcha but is that how you are going ?" Luci asked, raising her eyebrows in a quizzical way while looking at her from her head to her toes. She never seemed to get over the fact that Mel was not an extrovert like she was.

　　Mel smiled sheepishly and nodded. She was a girl of very few words. She grabbed her twins air pods on the bed, bade her bye and went out.

　　Brenton Blackwood sat on the backseat, looking out of the window of his Lexus. At 33, he seemed to have it all, money and good looks. He had jet black hair coupled with emerald eyes, a straight nose and small, thin lips to go with and he had a killer smile that practically made girls and women drool.

　　He really had made a name for himself in the business world. He was the CEO of the Blackwood Empire. That, including the chains of hotels he had in the whole of L.A. Most single ladies and even some married women were on the lookout for his slightest attention. Some had shamelessly tried to push themselves at him.

　　His shirt was rolled up at the arms which revealed the bulging muscles beneath . He was going to his penthouse after a hard day at work. He was going to have to call Colton, he thought. Colton Knight was his best friend since childhood and the only one who was not afraid to give Brenton a piece of his mind. They needed to finalize the deal they made with DRoyal Inc.

　　His driver, Charles Davenport peered at his boss from the rearview mirror. He sighed inwardly, thinking his boss really had to loosen up sometimes. There was little or nothing he could do if Brenton refused to take a break. He had been working for his boss for almost 8 years now so he knew almost everything about him though Brenton kept to himself most times except when he really needed to talk to someone.

　　" Charles, stop at the grocery store, i wanna get some snacks" Brenton said, while closing his eyes.

　　" Okay boss " Charles said, swerving to the right. " Were here " he said, slowing down.

　　Brenton came down from the car and started walking towards the grocery store.

　　Melody paid the cashier at the desk after getting all the stuff her mom sent her. Turning around to go out, she collided with a hard wall.

　　" Owww"! She groaned. Then a thought came to her that the wall she had smacked her head into was warm and it smelled nice. No, she said, a wall doesnt smell nice unless someone had rested on it recently.

　　She looked up and came face to face with Emerald eyes staring down at her somehow in annoyance. She pushed up her glasses to see the wall clearly . Gosh, this was not a wall!. Here she was, looking at the most hottest and sexy man she had ever seen. Not that she had seen lots of men in all her 25 years on earth. This man was gorgeous! He was over six feet tall and his eyes, oh God, his eyes, you could get burnt just by staring at him closely. He had a Greek gods body begging for a womans touch.

　　" Im so... sorry " she stammered while looking down at her toes. Emerald Eyes, yes she would call him that, seemed to soften at her apology .

　　" Its okay baby girl" he smiled and Mel felt warm all over .

　　Brenton went inside the store to grab some snacks when something bumped into him. No, he take that back, someone. He looked down to find a pair of grey eyes in a big rimmed glasses staring up at him. He was captivated by her eyes. His annoyance at being bumped into turned to curiosity when he looked at the girlish lady properly. His heart melted when he heard her voice.
