When Catherine woke up, the sky was dark, and it seemed that another heavy snow was coming.

It had been half a month since Mark Harrison left home. She wrapped herself in the quilt and murmured softly, "Mark Harrison, Im sick, cant you come back and keep me company?" She closed her eyes, and two lines of tears slid down her temples.

The room was warm, but Catherine still felt cold, and there was a faint pain coming from her bones.

Mark Harrison, if you were here, wouldnt I be so cold?

Catherine dialed his number and asked cautiously, "Mark, are you coming back tonight?"

On the other end, Mark Harrison still had his arm around Lily Wilsons waist and said impatiently, "No."

Catherine vaguely heard a womans voice on the other side and hung up the phone before Mark Harrison could say anything.

She scratched her head in annoyance, and when she took her hand back, there were several strands of hair on it.

Mark Harrison once said that what he liked most about her was her hair, which was black, shiny, and extremely soft.

Catherine came to the hospital and entered the office only to find another person inside, who looked very young and good-looking.

The doctor chatted with her for a few words, stating that the side effects of this kind of anti-cancer drug were almost the same, and changing it was useless; she could only continue to take it.

Catherine was silent for a while and nodded and left.

"Ethan Scott, the patient I mentioned earlier is her. She is not only unwilling to cooperate with the treatment, but now it seems that she doesnt even have the will to live."

Catherine walked out of the hospital and looked at the not much balance on the information, sighing in distress.

Her savings were only enough to buy medicine; the cost of chemotherapy or bone marrow transplantation, she, the nominal Mrs. Harrison... couldnt afford it.

Looking at the strands of hair in her hand, she decided to buy a hat.

The porridge was simmering in the kitchen, and Catherine would eat a little every day to avoid getting too thin and letting Mark Harrison see through the deception.

Just about to eat, her phone rang.

It was the special ringtone she set for Mark Harrison, and Catherine quickly walked over to answer.

"Grandpa wants us to go back the day after tomorrow."

Catherine was just about to speak when the call was hung up, without a single extra word.

Two days later, Catherine finally saw him whom she hadnt seen for a long time.

Mark Harrison sat in the back seat with a chill.

There was no conversation all the way, and when they arrived at Grandpa Thompsons house, Mark Harrison walked in front, and Catherine followed behind.

Mark casually took off his coat and handed it to the servant, then grabbed Catherine who was about to go in.

"Since were indoors, why are you still wearing a hat? Take it off."

Catherine shook her head; in fact, the hair loss was not that serious, but she couldnt get over it in her heart, always feeling that there was a bald spot on her head.

After a dispute that brought the old man out, he waved his hand and said it didnt matter, which allowed Catherine to avoid the disaster, but Mark Harrisons face was already extremely ugly.

After dinner, the old man talked about the issue of children as usual, and Catherine forced a smile and said, "Mark and I are not in a hurry about having children."

Mark glanced at her, but did not refute, which was considered that the woman was aware.

The old man wanted to say something else, but Catherines face changed, and before she could run away, two lines of bright red had already slid down.

She took two pieces of paper and said apologetically, "Grandpa, Im sorry, the weather is dry, and Im a bit inflamed."

The old man nodded suspiciously and stopped talking about children.

Mark got up, pulled Catherine, and said, "Ill take her to the hospital first, and well come to see you another day."

Mark walked out of the courtyard, rushed back home at a high speed, and his suppressed anger suddenly erupted.

"Catherine Thompson, you must make me unhappy, right? You can act sickly at home, but in front of Grandpa, you make it seem like Im abusing you, whats going on?"

"I didnt, I really am inflamed..."

Mark tugged at his collar, his eyes full of disdain: "Inflamed? Then Ill cool you down!"

After saying that, he almost dragged her to the bed, and after a few tears, he attacked without any preparation.

Catherine was in pain all over under his rough treatment, but none of this was more than the pain coming from the softest part.

"Mark, you... slow down, it hurts."

Mark pressed her under him, looked at her bloodless face and the collarbone highlighted by pain, his eyes almost red, and the throbbing in his heart turned into physical strength, tossing back and forth.

The two didnt know how many times they had been, in short, Mark finally let her go and lay down beside her, falling asleep.

Catherine moved a little, gently hugged him, and pressed her face against his chest, slowly rubbing, like a pet asking for the masters favor.

"Mark, why cant you leave me a good memory..."
