“Have you arrived? I’ve been waiting for you for a long time.” A man’s deep and gentle voice urged from the other end of the phone. Ava Thompson was already outside the hotel.

“I’m almost there.” After saying this, she pushed the door and entered the hotel lobby.

The caller was her fiancé, Ethan Carter.

Today was their engagement anniversary, and he had insisted she come to the Empire Hotel, claiming he had a surprise for her.

Ethan Carter, the only heir of one of Aspen’s four prominent families, was a low-key man with zero scandals and showed her great respect.

Upon entering, she froze.

A man, wrapped only in a bath towel, was just pulling it off his body.

“Ah…” Seeing this, Ava instinctively let out a scream and quickly closed her eyes. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to.”

The man had just come out of the bathroom after a shower and was about to get dressed.

Hearing the woman’s scream, he narrowed his eyes, a cold and sharp gaze sweeping towards the door, and quickly rewrapped the towel around himself.

As his chilling gaze landed on Ava Thompson’s charming little face, he paused slightly, surprise flickering in his eyes.

But just for a moment, his expression turned inscrutable, his eyes deep and unfathomable.

“So it’s you.” The man’s voice was enchanting, rich, and sexy, revealing no hint of anger or happiness.

Hearing those four words, Ava Thompson’s brows twitched, and she instinctively opened her eyes.

A stunningly handsome face entered her line of sight.

Ava Thompson was startled by the man who had appeared before her. Her eyes widened slightly.

As she spoke, she turned to leave but was pulled into the room by a long, strong arm and pinned against the wall beside the door.
