Lila peered into the room, and whispered, "Ms. Jessie. Now that Mr. Gabriel defends Sky Corporation, do you want others to handle this case?"

"I am warning you that this case is above your pay grade. I already left L&D Law Firm. You cant fight against the Sky Corporation by yourself."
He was clearly threatening her. Jessie only heard such threats from scumbags.
"How can you be so sure that I will lose? Or are you worried that if you lose this case after you just joined the Sky Corporation, it will make you look bad in front of your future father-in-law?"
Hearing Jessies ridicule, Gabriel wasnt offended.

Jessies last bubble of hope crumbled to dust when she heard his firm answer. She couldnt help but staggered back a few steps. She wiped the tears from her eyes and took a deep breath.
"I have got your warning. To prove to you that I am not a naive girl who would trust you without reservation, Im going all out on this case."
"A meaningless try. You are still so naive."
