If she had super powers, Ana would gladly submerge the entire Mathews household (she is quite generous to not have them split up and die miserably) in a large ball of water and deport them to Mars. That would serve as their personal prison and a pay off all the crimes they had done against innocent citizens like her. Once the little food they had in the house have run out, they can decide what to do with their lives. Whether or not to fall to canibalism.
If she had super powers, she would make their lives miserable as they had made hers. But sadly, she doesnt hold grudge.
Despite the tiring event that had taken place the previous day, Anastasia was wide awake at the crack of dawn. After gobbling down two large slices of chocolate cakes, one slice of pizza and a bottle of orange juice, she had called it a night.
Ana had fallen asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow and snored away her problems. One thing she was grateful to her body for. It never failed her in sleep as long as her body had run out of its energy supply. But with that came a negative effect. As expected, not all that glitters is gold.
And once said energy has been restocked, shed be revived back to life without much of a choice. And that is how she found herself wide awake and planning the murder of the entire Mathews family at the dark room with a flashlight glaring at her white ceilings.
She had seek those thoughts to keep her mind from wandering off to the dark future looming above her head. Once she allow her self to think about it, shell be miserable and depressed and wouldnt be able to do anything that would help her course.
So, first things first. She needed to get herself out of the bed and work towards acquiring enough money to pay off the debt. Ana decided to handle over the shop to Mia while she toil the town and searched for a job. Preferably a high paying one.
She is bound to lose her current job when she sell the house, so shell need one.
She didnt give herself time to think about how sad that sounds as she rolled out of bed, and zombied her way to the bathroom and did her business. Ana grabbed a yellow shirt from her neatly folded and pressed stack in the closet and donned on a blue partial jumper shorts. Wearing her good-luck sneakers, she brushed her bob brown hair and sprayed an extra hair spray and attached a yellow clip to her left ear hooking the hair out of her face.
To finish her look, she grabbed on her extra large round glasses and car keys before heading out of the room.
She stopped by the kitchen, grabbed a piece of cupcake from the fridge and scribble down a messy note telling Mia shed be out most of the day.
Ana snickered feeling like an adult leaving note behind for her naughty child. A smile graced her face until the memory of her mom leaving behind such stick it note whenever shes out of the house surfaced in her mind. The smile slipped off her face with the speed of light.
Ana cleared her throat and left the house.
"Right, time to get rid of this baby." She said to the empty night, heading off to her light blue beatdown Volkswagen. Her trusty baby had been loyal to her through storms and blizzards, but every relationship is bond to end.
Ana is well acquainted with the feeling.
It was a quarter to six, the streets were still dark and so dead you can pick up the sound of a dropping pin. So when Ana reaved up her car, it sounded like a thunder to the silent night. Or maybe the sound of mating lions? She sucked at comparison.
But Ana couldnt be bothered. Her life is at stake. A girl gotta do what a girl gotta do.
Playing the song that would probably cuss her from how much shed played it ever since she learned of it, were it given the chance, she sped down the road.

Anastasia added to the mental list she kept about why she hate the city.
Ana only had one measley cupcake, for breakfast, she had missed her doze of caffeine, so by the time the clock hit 2pm, she was starving. And you know what happens whenever she run out of food? Yup, you guessed right. Her body runs out of energy and was ready to shutdown.
Ana cursed herself for forgeting the workings of her own body as she dragged her legs to the park looming ahead. There is a bench to rest for a while before picking up from where she left. There is also a cheap popcorn bar not far from it.
She painfully ignore the ice cream shop across the road and trudge ahead. Partly because she couldnt afford to waste anymore than necessary on food, but mostly because she had left her purse at home.
The only money on her was the one dollar bill she had found in the back pockets of her jeans. Another habit of hers that she was grateful of. It wasnt easy, the ice cream would undoubtedly reduce the heat of the sun threatening to send her to the hospital with a heat stroke.
Apart from successfully pawing off her car down the mechanics shop, nothing else could be counted as fruitful in all the places she went.
First, she visited the housing agency after dropping off the car. That journey itself took a whole 20 minutes. But the woman she was supposed to meet was on a two-day leave. The reception lady could have at least told her that when she first mentioned it to her. But no, she kept her waiting for another 20 minutes. 20! See, this is exactly what she meant by rude.
Again, as the child of faith she is (not that she believed in any. Unless you could sorcery as one.) Ana had let it slide.
She plopped down on the uncomfortably warm bench to catch her breath. Ana regret pawing off her car as early as she did. It would have reduced her torture.
Then after toiling all over the east side of Rockville, she havent gotten anywhere near acquiring a job.
"Jeez!" Ana ducked behind the bush behind the bench at the speed of light not even 3 minutes after she sat.
"George doesnt eat carrots honey, you know that." Came a feminine voice just as she disappeared behind the shrubs.
"Hes too young to be this picky about his food. You are spoiling him."
"Im not! You cant force him to eat what he doesnt want to. Itll just make him skip the whole meal."
"Wait, I thought I saw Ms Greens girl just now. Poor child." Ol Garnett said.
"You are trying to change the subject."
"No Im not, seriously. She was right here."
"Honey, do we really need to check in the hospital? Your sight isnt improving."
"For the love of god Margret,"
"Well she probably left because she doesnt want to put up with you."
"Thats rude..."
Whatever comeback ol Garnett came up with was lost on Ana as the bickering old couple went further away.
One other reason her day was miserable. Everywhere she went, she received the pity gaze. Some even stopped by to ask her how she was coping, but the moment she mentioned anything remotely close to a job they suddenly remember something they had to do.
Rude!
That is how she wasted the whole day without a single success.
Or perhaps one. Which is selling the car.
But the fact that by the time the sky got dark, the soles of her feet were on fire, she wouldnt consider it a success. She could have kept her car for last.
The popcorn shed taken hours ago had long digested and served its purpose leaving her starving once more by the time she stumbled back home. Mia, bless her soul, had closed up the shop after cleaning it.
Saved her much trouble.
Ana mindlessly stumbled inside the dark shop clicking on the light and head straight for the stairs. 20 years of living here had etched her surroundings to her brain without needing her sight.
But when a dark figure glitched between the cabinets in the kitchen few meters from her, Ana screamed her lungs out.
Oh and passed out.
