"Atticus! I beg of you, dont abort our child, please!"

Scout was on her knees, hands clutching Atticus Finchs trousers, looking up with tears streaming down her face.

"Atticus, even if you are heartless to me, but cant you even spare our child?" she pleaded, gazing up at Atticus Finch, her eyes filled with desperation.

"I know you dont like me, alright, I promise to divorce you, but please dont harm our child, please?"

"I wont tolerate my childs veins flowing with your filthy blood," Atticus Finch said, enunciating each word.

Atticus Finchs gaze did not linger on Scout for a moment, but she could feel the coldness, disgust, and disdain in his eyes.

Scout lay on the ground, tears streaming down her face, it had been three years.

In these three years of marriage, Atticus Finch had never returned here except to torment her.

Atticus Finch said he hated Scout, hated her for causing him to be unable to love.

It was Scout who had killed his grandmother and the woman he loved, so in his eyes, she was a woman as vicious as a snake.

Every time she heard such words, her heart ached as if struggling.

"Atticus Finch, have you ever loved me, even for just a moment?" Scout looked at Atticus Finch without blinking, unable to hide the trace of expectation in her eyes.

"Never," came the answer.

Hearing this, Scout did not lose control but instead became unusually calm.

She wiped the tears from her face, looked up at Atticus Finch, and her lips moved, but the words caught in her throat and turned into silence.

The stubbornness on Scouts face was the same as when she forced him to marry her three years ago.

This scene pained Atticus Finchs eyes; he remembered that three years ago, Scout was like this, forcing him to marry her.

In the end, Atticus Finch still forcibly dragged her to the hospital.

As Scout was pushed into the operating room, she saw Atticus Finch and Catherine "Kitty" Genovese outside.

Scout used her last bit of strength to cry out to Atticus Finch: "Atticus! I beg of you! Dont abort the child! Atticus! Atticus, I beg of you——!"

With a "bang," the door to the operating room closed.

The doctor sighed softly: "Such a good young girl, what a pity!"

At that moment, a familiar face appeared next to the operating table, it was Catherine "Kitty" Genovese.

"Why are you here?"

"Atticus sent me! He asked me to come in and watch how your child is gradually aborted, because thats what you owe me," Catherine "Kitty" Genovese said with a smile.

Then Catherine suddenly leaned close and whispered: "Who let Atticus always think that you killed my child? It was you who was pregnant with his child at the time, I just spread the news that I had a miscarriage, and you, are about to lose Atticuss child for the second time, ha ha!"

Scout stared at Catherine with her eyes wide open, her eyes full of hatred: "How can you treat me like this!"

"Who let you save Atticus, no way, I can only take all the credit for that year on my own head, and also, you should not know how Atticuss grandmother really died, right." Catherines eyes suddenly became fierce and sinister.

"You! I understand, I understand it all..." Scout suddenly seemed to be drained of all her strength, closing her eyes weakly.

Catherine straightened up: "Sister, I know you love Atticus, but if you hadnt been jealous of me and sneaked into Atticuss bed at the time, we might still be good sisters now!"

Catherine paused, looking at Scout with a sly look in her eyes: "Also, you treated Atticuss grandmother to please Atticus, but you used the wrong medicine and caused grandma to die, tut-tut, no wonder Atticus hates you so much..."

Her voice was not too loud or too soft, just right for the doctors and nurses present to hear.

In an instant, the eyes of the medical staff on the scene changed, filled with contempt and disdain, and even the movements during the surgery became heavier.

Scout felt the cold scalpel slowly pulling the little life out of her body, and she closed her eyes in despair.
