On the northern outskirts of New York, under the open sky, a line of men in black suits stood firm. Behind them, a man with an imposing aura stood with a chilling gaze fixed on the trembling woman before him.
Looking at the handsome man before her, Elizabeth Bennets heart was filled with fear and despair.
"Mr. Darcy, if I remember correctly, this is your seventh escape attempt, isnt it?" Mr. Darcy spoke with a hint of mockery, causing even those who followed him to shiver involuntarily.
Because their master, the all-powerful head of the Darcy family, was already seething with anger.
Elizabeth bit her lip, her voice trembling as she spoke: "Since you are engaged to Miss Jane Eyre of the Ning family, why wont you let me go?"
In response to her question, Mr. Darcys eyes narrowed, and he sneered, "Elizabeth Bennet, are you jealous?"
Elizabeths eyes widened, and she quickly said, "Im not..."
The next moment, the mans large hand had already pinched her chin, gently squeezing it. Elizabeths face turned pale abruptly, and all she could emit were inarticulate sounds as saliva dripped from the corner of her mouth onto the ground.
The man leaned close to her ear and whispered, "When you climbed into my brothers bed, you should have known that I would never let you go."
"Uuuu..." The intense pain prevented Elizabeth from uttering a single complete sentence. Her dark eyes stared fixedly at the man.
If she had not saved this man on that rainy night three years ago, none of what followed would have happened.
Alas, fate seemed to toy with her, and under Mr. Darcys deranged obsession, she had no power to resist.
She could only face the unceasing torment from this man, and after three years, she was truly exhausted.
"Take her back, and if she escapes again, you will all die!" Mr. Darcy released his grip and bellowed at his men behind him.
Elizabeth was dragged towards the car like a doll, her eyes filled with despair.
Was she to return to that cage-like place once more? This time, Mr. Darcy would likely watch her even more closely, wouldnt he?
Then when, oh when, could she possibly break free from this mans control?
Back at the villa, a doctor soon set her chin, and Elizabeth let out a sigh of relief. It was then that a woman entered.
"Slut, I gave you a chance to leave, and you still got caught and brought back. What a waste!" Jane Eyre cursed.
Elizabeth looked up and said, "Do you think I want to stay by his side? Jane Eyre, have you ever tasted the feeling of being alive but dead inside?"
"Im not as promiscuous as you. Darcy would never treat me like this," Jane Eyre said scornfully.
Elizabeth watched her quietly and said earnestly, "You know better than anyone what happened three years ago, dont you?"
Jane Eyre laughed and said, "So what? Who would believe you?"
"No matter what, I will find evidence and then leave him," Elizabeth said with determination.
No matter how many women flocked to Mr. Darcy, in her eyes, he was nothing but a demon The ghost that climbed up from hell!
At that moment, a calm yet violent voice came from outside the door:
"Who do you plan to leave?"
