When Love Turns to Vengeance

The thunderclap echoed like a cannon, followed by a streak of lightning that seemed to tear the tranquil night sky apart. Inside the room, Elinor Dashwood stood by the window, indifferent to the rain that drifted in and dampened her clothes. Her hand trembled slightly as she held the urn, her sorrowful gaze fixed on the man not far away.

"Edward, dont force me to cast Elizabeth Bennets ashes into the wind. I merely wish to reclaim my fathers body," Elinors voice wavered, her fingers turned pale from the tension of clutching the urn.

Seated on the sofa with his legs crossed, Edward Cullen, unmoved, threatened in a deep, cold voice, "If you dare to touch Elizabeths ashes, I will not only desecrate Atticus Finchs remains but also ensure that you and your mute sister, Jane Eyre, live in agony worse than death!"

"Father has already paid the price for his past actions. What more do you want? Why wont you even spare his corpse?" Elinors low roar was tinged with tears. She would endure any torment he had in store for her, but her innocent sister deserved none of it.

Elizabeth Bennet had been Edward Cullens fiancée, and Atticus Finch was the Cullen familys driver. Driven by medical bills for his wife, Atticus had kidnapped Elizabeth. When Edward arrived with his men, all he found was Elizabeths lifeless body.

"Death is too kind for him. I wanted him to suffer, but he didnt endure the torture and died too soon," Edwards voice was as cold as hell, his calm words delivering the cruelest of messages as he raised his glass and took a nonchalant sip.

Elinor, with tears in her eyes, felt a pain in her heart as if it were being carved out. She didnt want this, but she was left with no choice but to use this method to force him to return Atticuss body. "The dead should be respected. I beg you, for the sake of our three years of marriage, return my fathers body to me, please?" Her tone was humble, pleading. "If you agree, I promise to return Elizabeths ashes to you."

After her fathers imprisonment, Edward married her, never touching her, and she knew it was to torment her. She agreed to marry him not only to atone but primarily because she had loved him for six long years.

Elinor never believed her father would kill Elizabeth, but it was indeed her father who had kidnapped her.

"Do you think you have the right to negotiate with me? Remember, I married you to make Atticus realize how I would torment his daughter, how lowly she was. Speaking of marital affection, you are unworthy!" Edward abruptly stood from the sofa, flung the wine glass against the wall, his eyes bloodshot with a bloodthirsty glare.

Hearing Edwards words, Elinor revealed a self-mocking smile. She was well aware of his intentions for marrying her, but hearing it from his mouth was like a needle piercing her heart, causing her so much pain that she could hardly breathe.

"Dont come any closer. Dont force me, or I will cast Elizabeths ashes into the abyss, robbing you of your only memory," Elinor threatened as Edward approached step by step, forcing her to raise the urn higher.

"You dare to throw it, and I will make sure you and Jane Eyre join her in the grave!" Edward calmly wiped his fingers with a paper towel, his tall figure not stopping but instead gradually closing in, exuding an suffocating aura.

"Stop, I said stop, cant you hear me?" Elinor growled, her eyes moist with panic, her hand trembling fiercely as she held the urn. The drifting rain left her shivering with cold.

Edward seemed not to hear Elinor, pressing on, a mocking smile playing on his lips. He was confident she wouldnt dare.

"Ah..." Suddenly, Elinor gasped as the urn slipped from her tense grip and fell to the ground, shattering into pieces.
