Lucy Honeychurch, holding her four-year-old child who was covered in blood, knelt on the ground, her eyes vacant. The child couldnt possibly not be Edward Cullens! How could this be?

She touched the child in her arms, still reeling from the shock and fear, when she heard Edwards cold voice say, "Take the child to the morgue, and you clean up."

"Arent you going to save the child?" She looked up at her husband of five years, feeling as if her heart and liver were pierced.

"Save him? I dont even know whose bastard this is that youve had outside. Why should I save him? Lucy Honeychurch, tell me, how many more lies have you told me, Edward Cullen?" Edwards voice was devoid of warmth.

Lucy gritted her teeth against the pain in her chest, clutching Edwards sleeve tightly, pleading, "Edward, the child is really yours. That report must be wrong! Please, save him."
