She did love him, deeply and passionately, but she had never schemed to take him away from anyone else. Knowing her own limited time due to a congenital heart condition, all she wished for was his happiness.
Jasons grip on her chin tightened, his tone icy and biting, "Love me, do you?"
Emilys chin throbbed with pain, nearly numb, and she could see the mockery and hatred in his eyes.

A mocking smile curved Jasons lips as he tore her hospital gown off with one hand, "Love men, do you?"
His actions made Emily shudder in fear. The blood drained from her face, leaving it pale as she clutched the gown that was about to be ripped away.
