"Bang!"

Emily Wilson, fresh out of heart surgery, was yanked off the hospital bed by Jason Scott, who then dragged her along, his eyes bloodshot with anger!

"Emily Wilson, is marrying me that important to you?" He tightened his grip on her hand abruptly, forcing her to look up at him, his voice icy and piercing.

The pain almost took Emilys breath away, leaving her mind blank with agony, "What...?"

Seeing her innocent expression, Jasons eyes flickered with a violent aura that sent Emily shivering with fear.

Before she could react, Jason dragged her outside. The pain robbed Emily of all her ability to speak, leaving her with only instinctive cries of pain.

"Sir, what are you doing?! This is a patient who has just undergone surgery; you cant——!"

A nurse, witnessing the scene, rushed to intervene, but was stopped before she could finish her sentence.

"Dont cause trouble; that man is the CEO of Scott Enterprises!"

This remark, loud enough for everyone to hear, halted anyone who was about to step forward to help.

The CEO of Scott Enterprises, who would dare to provoke him?

"Jason, let me go... Im in pain, Jason... Im in pain..."

Emily was dragged out of the hospital by Jason, and only when he threw her into the car did he pinch her chin, forcing her to look at him.

"Pain? Youre in pain now? Did you ask if Grace felt pain when you took her heart? Did you consider that she would also be in pain when you had people harm her?!"

"What happened? Emily Wilson, at this point, are you still going to pretend? Dont you clearly know that shes dead? You bullied her to death, and you dont know? Otherwise, where did this heart of yours come from?"

Jason, whenever he closed his eyes, would recall the sight of Grace Johnson in the morgue.

Emily shook her head, she didnt know them.

Seeing Emilys denial, one of the men, who was stout and had a big head, screamed directly, "Miss Wilson! How can you not take responsibility?! I still have the call records between you and me on my phone, and the records of you transferring money to me. How can you turn your back on us after the deed is done?!"

The man suddenly knelt in front of Jason, his hands trembling as he offered his phone, "Mr. Scott, look, my phone has records. We were just doing our job for the money, but we really didnt know that person was your girlfriend! If we had known, we wouldnt dare to touch her even if we had ten guts!"

Jason, however, didnt even glance at the man kneeling in front of him. He squatted down in front of the stunned Emily, pinched her chin, and a cold smile rose on his lips, "Come on, Emily Wilson, explain."
