"Next, please," Lola Morton stood in her office, clad in a white lab coat, her voice cold and detached as she called out, her expression devoid of warmth.

No sooner had she spoken than a man entered, dressed in a black suit, his figure tall and commanding. He had already caused a stir in the hallway, the very picture of what people would call a heartthrob.

His features held a hint of rogueish charm, and his lips curled into a smile that he seemed to think was quite dashing. He was the CEO of Hunt Corporation, the heir to the Hunt family, young, accomplished, and decisive.

Alexander Hunt strode in, his polished leather shoes echoing with each step, and settled effortlessly into a chair.

Yet, from the moment he entered, his gaze was unabashedly fixed on her.

She scrutinized his file with diligence: "Alexander Hunt?"

She needed to confirm the patients information.

Alexander nodded, his voice deep and pleasing to the ear: "Yes."

Quickly, his attention shifted to the nameplate on her chest: "Lola Morton, how about we take this opportunity to get to know each other?"

Lola was somewhat repulsed by men who seized any chance to flirt, and she had heard of the CEO of Hunt Corporation. From her judgment, he was a man without scruples.

Thus, she responded to his advances with an indifferent expression, not even granting him a glance, her tone purely professional: "Extend your arm, please."

Unperturbed by her coldness, Alexander grinned and obediently presented his arm. He had arranged for everyone in the corporation to have a physical examination today, and now that everyone else was done, only he, the CEO, remained.

"All done," she announced, still without looking at him.

Unbothered by her disregard, Alexander calmly pulled down his sleeve. When she had drawn his blood, her touch on his arm seemed to stir something within him.

He hadnt expected that even after all these years, he still harbored such feelings for this woman.

His consistent affection for Lola Morton was something she was completely unaware of.

Lola was aware of the indescribable gaze the CEO of Hunt Corporation had cast upon her, but she chose to ignore it, turning a blind eye to such looks.

She had no interest in men who liked to harass with their eyes.

"If theres an issue with your eyes, Mr. Hunt, the ophthalmology room is the third on your right out the door," Lola said as she rose, leaving him with that remark.

After finishing the examination, her work for the morning was done. She put down her tools, ready to leave the office and not share the space with this man.

She could feel the intensity of his gaze, but as a lowly ant, what could she say against a powerful CEO?

She turned to tidy her desk, but as her hand touched a medicine bottle, a sudden pain shot through her head, her mind grew foggy, and fragmented, terrifying images flashed before her eyes.

The world began to spin, and silence enveloped her as if she had been thrown into a whirlpool, falling endlessly within it.
