The Defiant Mate

On the deck of the Majestic Queen, Renata Bailey, dressed in a pristine wedding gown, stood with a mix of sorrow and determination.

“Julian, I am your bride!” she declared.

Julian King, clad in a tuxedo, approached with a frosty expression: "Renata, youve chosen today to lose your mind. It seems Ive been too lenient with you."

YaYa Bailey, also in a white dress, linked her arm with his, her face dim with sorrow as she said, "Julian, dont blame my sister; she just loves you too much..."

"Love? A woman of such shamelessness, seducing her sisters husband, and she dares to speak of love?" Julians eyes flickered with disgust.

The haste of Renatas journey had left her struggling for breath, as if a knife were stabbing her lungs, but it was nothing compared to the pain inflicted by Julians gaze.

The world was unpredictable; the man who had promised to love her for a lifetime had looked at her with such eyes for an entire year!

Renata gritted her teeth against the pain and said in a trembling voice, "Julian King, we are lovers, deeply in love! It was YaYa who seduced her brother-in-law!"

She couldnt fathom what spell YaYa had cast over Julian, making him transfer his affections to her in the blink of an eye.

Today, she was making one last effort to awaken Julians memory.

"More of this nonsensical madness!" Julian regarded her as if she were a lunatic. "Renata, dont involve me in your madness, and I wont allow you to slander YaYa!"

YaYas eyes welled up with tears instantly, on the verge of tears: "Sister, I can overlook the stalking, drugging, and climbing into bed that youve done over the past year, but today is my engagement party with Julian. Could you please let it go?"

Julians anger intensified, clearly recalling the shameless and disgusting things Renata had done.

"YaYa, why beg her?" He tenderly caressed YaYas face, his expression towards Renata growing even colder. "Guards, lock this madwoman away!"

Security personnel rushed over at his command, and Renata backed up to the edge of the deck, teetering on the brink, with the churning waves below.

She had exhausted all her efforts, and Julian showed no signs of regaining his memory, and the time she had left was dwindling.

The doctors words seemed to echo in her ears: "Ms. Bailey, you have lung cancer; if you take good care, you have half a year left..."

Renata clenched her teeth and continued to ask stubbornly, "Julian, if I were dying, could you, please, not marry YaYa? Even if..."
