"How could I have given birth to such an annoying daughter like you?" The words echoed in Chloe Suns mind.

"You never care about me, you only despise me." In the noisy bar, no one paid attention to her choked screams. Her mother had abandoned her when she was five, and her father was cold towards her, always finding her annoying.

She downed an entire bottle of whiskey in one go, the alcohol temporarily numbing the pain in her heart.

She staggered out of the bar. Before she left, the bartender handed her a rose. "A gift for our anniversary. Miss, have a slow walk."

Chloe Sun held the red rose, looking around. Her drunken gaze fell on a green car parked not far from the bar. She thought it was a taxi.

Chloe staggered to the car, pulled open the door, and sat down in the passenger seat. Howard Lu looked at her questioningly. "Are you Miss Chen?"

Chloe, heavily intoxicated, didnt really hear what Howard Lu was asking. She vaguely responded with an "Uh huh."

Howard Lu glanced at the red rose in her hand, confirming that she must be the person he was waiting for. No other woman would be as idle as this Chen socialite, in a red dress, at one in the morning, wandering the streets with a rose.

With a "snap," Chloe boldly slapped three hundred-dollar bills on the console. Howard Lu didnt understand why she was giving him money. He thought to himself: Perhaps this is another trick of the artistic young woman.

Howard Lu frowned in disgust, thinking his mother must have lost her mind, choosing such a woman for him.

Howard Lu smirked; the woman was not bad-looking, but unfortunately, she was unreliable.

Howard Lu stopped the car and coldly looked at her: "Weve arrived. Get out."

Chloe barely opened her eyes and seductively glanced at him: "You have such handsome features. Lets do it."

Even the composed Howard Lu was taken aback by her directness.

Chloe mumbled, "In my bag."

He supported her weight with one hand and searched her bag for the keys with the other. A fully packaged hard paper box appeared in front of him. He smirked: That woman, shes really prepared with safety measures.
