Shattered Love-The Cullen Dilemma

The night was as dark as pitch, and the master bedroom of the Cullen estate was shrouded in an eerie silence. Suddenly, the light flicked on, casting a harsh glow throughout the room. The small figure huddled under the covers couldnt help but flinch and hold her breath, not daring to even poke her head out.

Edward Cullen observed this from the corner of his eye with a sneer. The person under the covers trembled even more violently at his derisive laughter. He strode over and ripped back the thin blanket, revealing a figure huddled in fear.

Edward frowned and scoffed, "Isabella Swan, what kind of act is this for? Do you think pretending will make me fall in love with you? Youre dreaming."

Isabella flinched in terror but couldnt escape Edwards reaching hand. She couldnt help but scream, "No! Let go of me!"

"Let you go? So you can tell your father that Ive never shared a bed with you since we got married?"

"Isabella Swan, you didnt forget what youve done, did you? But it doesnt matter, I remember, and I will keep reminding you, over and over again."

The more Edward spoke, the more terrified Isabella became. In her eyes, Edward was a demon. She used to love him so much, but now she feared him just as intensely. She had backed against the headboard with nowhere left to retreat, yet her legs still made desperate motions backward as if this could save her.

Edward was blind to her fear, his large hand reaching out, grabbing, and dragging her down. She let out a piercing scream of terror.

Edward frowned in discomfort. This woman, who clearly desired this, was now putting on this act. If she thought playing hard to get would make him soften and like her, she was sorely mistaken. Her acting was so poor it was worse than that of bit-part actors who had no talent.

Every time he saw her like this, he felt an urge to enroll her in an acting class. Isabellas screams were persistent and shrill. Edward, overwhelmed by the noise, stuffed a large wad of bedsheet into her mouth. The screams ceased instantly, and Isabellas tears flowed freely down her temples as she shook her head desperately, pleading with the man before her with her eyes, but she couldnt resist his strong hand.

When the last piece of clothing was torn away, Isabellas body stiffened, and she closed her eyes in pain. As it was almost over, the phone rang. Edward saw the caller ID and quickly got up to answer the call on the balcony.

Isabella tremulously removed the bedsheet from her mouth and could no longer hold back the surge of nausea that welled up inside her. She leaned over the side of the bed and began to dry heave.

Edward finished his phone call quickly, put on his clothes, and seeing her miserable state, snorted with derision, "You think this will make me feel sorry for you? Isabella, youre dreaming beautifully."

"By the way, Im sorry I didnt fulfill my duty this time. Ill continue to fulfill it when I come back. After all, its a duty. Dont worry, Miss Swan."

Isabellas body shook even more violently. After the door was closed, she shakily reached for a small bottle in the nightstand drawer, poured out a few pills without looking, and swallowed them dry.

After taking the medicine, she lay on the bed staring at the ceiling above her. Her eyes were numb and hollow, and a tear slid down her temple as she silently screamed in her heart, "Why? Why did it turn out like this?"

This was not the marriage and love she had been looking forward to.
