As soon as Daisy Buchanan saw Jay Gatsby, she immediately covered her bleeding nose and rushed into his arms: "Jay, I dont know whats wrong with Miss OHara. She broke the blood bag and hit me..."
Jay Gatsby held Daisy tenderly, shouting at Scarlett in anger: "If you have any dissatisfaction, take it out on me! A terminally ill patient—how could you treat her this way? Youre no better than a murderer!"
Scarlett fell to the floor, covered in blood, her hands stained red as if the child she couldnt hold onto that day slipped through her skin in the form of blood...
"A terminally ill patient? Im the murderer?" It was as if she had heard the biggest joke in the world. Scarlett couldnt tell who was more foolish, herself or Jay. "Daisy Buchanan doesnt have leukemia at all; shes faking it!"
Jay was taken aback, and Daisy trembled in his arms, looking completely terrified by Scarlett, repeating, "Jay, I dont want it, I dont want it..."
"Daisy Buchanan conspired with this doctor to pretend to be ill! And you, such a fool, fell for it! For such a hypocritical and malicious woman, you killed our child!"
Thinking about the child she had been looking forward to for so long, just lost for nothing, sacrificed for Jay Gatsbys "love," Scarlett felt the pain was almost suffocating.
Dr. Wilson exclaimed in astonishment, "Miss OHara, what nonsense are you talking about? Conspiring to fake illness? Is this a joke? Who would curse themselves with leukemia for no reason?"
Daisys face was stained with blood, even her clothes were red, and she trembled as she clutched Jays hand, crying and shaking her head, "I dont want Miss OHaras blood anymore, but I must clear my name. Jay, find more doctors, have them examine me..."
At Daisys persistent request, experts from major hospitals in New York City gathered, including the currently internationally renowned top authority, Professor Tang.
After a series of examinations, Professor Tang spoke with some resentment, "Miss Buchanan indeed suffers from leukemia; there is no misdiagnosis. Its outrageous that someone would treat her so harshly."
Hearing this, Scarletts eyes were filled with disbelief. How could this be?
Professor Tang was known for his seriousness and integrity; it was impossible for Daisy to bribe him.
Moreover, the profuse nosebleed Daisy had wasnt fake...
Why would Daisy lie to her in front of her, smashing the life-saving blood? What benefit would it bring her?
Scarlett felt her mind was in chaos when suddenly an idea occurred to her: "The match! Right, the match! Did we really match?"
All of Daisys actions were aimed at killing her and Jay Gatsbys child! There was no suitable match at all!
Jay decided to have Professor Tang personally verify it again. After the results came out, Professor Tang frowned and said, "Miss OHara, your bone marrow is a perfect ten-point match with Miss Buchanan."
"What do you have to say for yourself now, Scarlett OHara?"
Jays cold tone rang in her ears, and his eyes were filled with disgust as he looked at her. Scarlett could only shake her head in disbelief, unable to say a word.
She didnt understand how things had turned out this way. She didnt want to donate bone marrow; she didnt ruin that bag of blood, and she certainly didnt mean to hit a leukemia patient!
