The rain fell gently from the sky as Anastasia Steele stood rooted to the spot, her ears ringing with the words Christian Grey had spoken.
"Anastasia, shes back."
The rain dampened her eyelashes, blurring her vision of the cars interior, of Christians expression, but his cold words plunged her into hell.
Her marriage to Christian, from the initial anticipation and joy to the present despair, had taken only two years.
"So, you must divorce me?" Anastasia asked, her eyes red and throat constricted. "Even if I can pretend nothing has happened, its not enough?"
Christian frowned, his face growing darker. "If you agree to the divorce, I will fulfill any condition you set."
"Christian, you promised me that as long as I didnt speak of divorce, you wouldnt divorce me. Ill do anything, as long as you dont divorce me," Anastasia clutched the car door, her voice hoarse.
She had nothing left, only Christian...
At this moment, she let go of all her pride and spirit, just to try to win him back.
Christians face turned an angry shade, as if all his patience had run out.
"Do not make me repeat myself," Christian said, his brow furrowing, his words growing colder.
His gaze was so intimidating that Anastasia couldnt help but pull her hand back and cover her flat stomach, her lips trembling. "Christian, actually, I..."
"I dont care if I have a deceased wife if you dont agree to the divorce."
His cold words cut Anastasia off, the car started, and before Anastasia could react, she was thrown towards the busy road by the cars side mirror.
A car sped by, and with a "bang," she felt herself lifted into the air and then slammed to the ground.
Before losing consciousness, a tear slid from her eye, and her slender arm protected her stomach.
In fact, she was already pregnant.
The day after tomorrow would be the second anniversary of her marriage to Christian; she had planned to tell Christian the good news on that day.
But Christian wanted to divorce her today.
If she didnt agree to the divorce, she would have to die.
Her heart seemed to be hollowed out in an instant.
As she closed her eyes, she saw Christian drive away, losing all consciousness.
When Anastasia woke up, she was in the hospital and didnt see Christian.
"Did you see the face or license plate number of the hit-and-run driver?" Dr. Scott Parker asked with his hands in his pockets.
Anastasia looked up, her eyes hollow and lifeless as she stared at him. "Hit-and-run driver?"
"When passersby found you, you were lying in the road, covered in blood, but the driver had already left..." Scott said matter-of-factly.
Anastasias eyes welled up with tears, circling in her eyes.
It was Christian who pushed her onto the road...
She thought that after two years of marriage to Christian, there would be some feelings. But she really didnt expect Christian to be so cruel to her.
Suddenly, Anastasia thought of something, holding her stomach, her voice choked, looking at Scott with hope: "What about my baby, is the baby still there?"
Scott frowned, his voice sinking, "The baby didnt make it."
Anastasias mind went blank, and the tears couldnt stop anymore.
From the initial sobs to the final wails.
Scott glanced at Anastasia and said in a low voice, "Rest well, youre still young, you will have children in the future."
For Scotts comfort, she just wanted to cry.
That evening, Christian came to the hospital.
He stood at the door, a slender cigarette between his fingers, exhaling turbid smoke from his thin lips, seemingly impatient as he said, "Divorce."
Anastasia lowered her head, tears welling up in her eyes, she clenched her hands: "I dont want to divorce you."
She had nothing left, only Christian, she didnt want to divorce him, she didnt want to lose him...
Christians gaze immediately turned cold, staring at her as if with a sharp knife: "You can refuse to divorce me, but I will keep torturing you until you agree!"
When Anastasia agreed to the bone marrow transplant for Isabelle, she signed an additional agreement that as long as she didnt mention it, he couldnt divorce her.
This was also the point where he was tired of Anastasia; on the surface, she seemed pure and harmless, but in reality, she was terrifying!
Anastasia looked at him with red eyes, horrified: "What... what do you mean?"
Looking at the tears in the corners of her eyes, he felt inexplicably agitated and clamped her wrist.
Anastasia was dragged off the hospital bed by him, stumbled, and fell to the ground.
Christian ignored it, regardless of her injury, dragging her out of the hospital.
"Where are you taking me?" Anastasia was frightened and asked in horror.
Christian sneered but didnt speak.
The car stopped in front of a hotel, and Anastasias eyes widened, her body trembling, looking at Christian uneasily.
Christian ignored her struggle, dragged her out of the car, and dragged her into the room.
Anastasia was still wearing a patients gown, dragged all the way by him, looking embarrassed, like a madwoman.
In the room, there was a strange man, respectful: "Mr. Grey."
Christian leaned lazily against the sofa, his sharp eyes scanning Anastasia, his slender fingers playing with the camera, casually asking, "Divorce?"
Anastasia asked in horror, "Christian, what are you going to do?"
Christian suddenly laughed: "If I take photos of your infidelity during the marriage, will you divorce me?"
His voice was very light, so gentle that it made her shiver with fear, and every syllable revealed a threat.
Anastasia was stunned, and she didnt expect Christian to say such a thing to her, and she didnt move at the moment.
The strange man reached out and tore her patients gown, and she seemed to just come back to her senses, struggling frantically, buttons falling off and landing on the floor, making a rustling sound.
She dodged, her hair disheveled, and was pushed down on the bed by the man.
Christian leaned against the sofa with his legs crossed, casually taking photos of her infidelity.
The mans hands groped on her body, and her so-called husband watched by the side, as if watching a play.
Anastasia felt cold, as if she had fallen into a cellar in an instant, and as if a basin of cold water was splashed over her, she was so cold that her teeth chattered, and her tears were about to freeze...
"Are you willing to divorce?" Christian stood at the head of the bed, looking down at her with a sarcastic expression.
Anastasia slowly opened her eyes and looked at him, a tear sliding down the corner of her eye, then disappearing into her hair.
"Well, Ill divorce you."
