Loving You Was a Time of Darkness

Click, Scout Finch heard the sound of her own finger bones breaking.

"Ah!!!"

The cry of the young woman echoed through the entire mansion.

Scout Finch collapsed to the ground, her fingers throbbing with pain that made her heart nearly stop. Her face, pale and beaded with sweat, showed her unbearable agony.

"I... I didnt, it was... it was Kitty who gave... to me." Scout Finch kept shaking her head. She really didnt know the ring belonged to Daisy Buchanan. If she had known, she would never have worn it. She knew how important Daisy Buchanan was in his heart.

Daisy Buchanan was Atticus Finchs childhood sweetheart and also Scout Finchs good friend. Daisy Buchanan, who suffered from a brain tumor, knew that Scout Finch had always loved Atticus Finch, so she gave her heart to Scout Finch, who had a heart condition, hoping that Scout Finch could stay by Atticus Finchs side and take care of him in her place.

But she never expected that this would plunge Scout Finch into hell.

"Humph, your lies are too childish. This ring has always been on Daisys hand; how could Kitty have it?" Atticus Finch sneered, his long fingers tightly pinching Scout Finchs chin.

"I... I didnt... lie." Scout Finch struggled weakly, slowly closing her eyes, bitter tears welling up from the corners, the pain in her hand and the pain in her heart almost driving her to despair.

Atticus Finch flung her away, seeing Scout Finchs tear-streaked face, a strange pang shot through his heart, but it was fleeting.

"You remember, I married you only because you have Daisys heart, it has nothing to do with you personally." After saying this, he turned around and left without looking back, leaving Scout Finch with a resolute figure.

Scout Finch looked at his heartless back, her eyes slowly moistened by tears, every word he said was like a sharp sword, brutally stabbing into her heart.

She forced a smile on the corner of her mouth, five years of unrequited love, two years of marriage, she still couldnt replace Daisy Buchanan, not even as a substitute... he wouldnt give her a chance.

Finally, Scout Finchs physical strength was depleted, and she could no longer support herself, and fainted.
