Daisy Buchanan looked at Atticus Finch with hopeful eyes as he sat on the bed, her voice trembling almost imperceptibly: "Atticus, what you said earlier, was it a lie? You were just teasing me, right?"
Atticus Finch glanced coldly at the woman sitting on the floor, his eyes devoid of any warmth: "Daisy Buchanan, if I were you, I wouldnt dream of climbing up to the Finch family."
"I didnt! Ive never had such thoughts," Daisy was startled by his emotionless attitude, and she protested hysterically.
"You should know better. Youre just a vessel for continuing the Finch lineage. Recognize your place and dont dare to covet anything from the Finch family," he said, as the bathroom door opened.
A man with a pale complexion and a soft, effeminate appearance emerged from the mist, not even casting a glance at Daisy, and walked straight to Atticus, sitting beside him.
Atticus glanced at him, then looked at Daisy with indifference: "You should understand, Ive never liked you. Marrying you was just under parental pressure. Youd better face reality."
Daisy never thought she would be defeated by a man.
She only thought that Atticus didnt favor her because their marriage was arranged by their parents, and in this era, no one was willing to be bound by marriage, which is why he was indifferent to her.
She thought that as long as she managed the house in an orderly manner, he would be happy and look at her properly.
She didnt expect that he would start staying out all night less than half a month after getting married.
Daisy understood that there were no cats that didnt steal food, and she didnt care how many women he had outside. She just wanted to be his wife peacefully.
But why did he bring a man?
Said she was just a machine for reproduction!
When she just argued, she was mercilessly pushed to the ground.
"Atticus Finch, lets get a divorce!"
Daisy didnt know if her voice was trembling when she said this sentence, but she knew she had made up her mind. Even if she loved him again, she couldnt accept such a thing.
"Divorce?" Atticus sneered, "Dont even think about it. You just stay in the Finch family obediently! Youre not allowed to go anywhere!"
The effeminate man just showed an impatient look, and Atticus held his hand, patted it soothingly, which made Daisy feel nauseous and couldnt help it.
She covered her mouth and ran out, this action successfully darkened Atticuss face.
He followed out with a fierce look on his face.
The effeminate man looked at the back of Atticus Finch with a gloomy expression, thinking of Daisys reaction, and narrowed his long eyes.
Daisy kept vomiting at the sink until there was nothing left, then she slid to the ground weakly, tears flowing uncontrollably.
Atticus looked at her weak appearance without any pity, reached out and grabbed her slender neck, and said strangely: "Nauseous, right? Then you have to watch us tonight tonight."
Upon hearing this, Daisy couldnt help but feel nauseous again, but there was nothing in her stomach, she could only dry retch.
The old butler heard the sound and came over, seeing this situation, he couldnt help but say: "Madam, could it be that you are pregnant?"
