Love That Never Was

"Everyone here is bad!" Sophia Kim held a sharp fruit knife, her face streaked with tears, looking incredibly pitiful.

Jason King approached cautiously, trying to persuade her, "Alright, alright, sweetheart, can you put the knife down first?"

Sophias frightened eyes scanned everyone, finally resting on the woman standing next to Jason King. She shouted in a shrill voice, "Emily Thompson, come here!"

Emily, who was called, took a slight step back, her hands instinctively placed on her abdomen, as she saw a flash of malice in Sophias eyes.

"Master, you cant let your wife go over there. Miss Sophia has a knife; she might hurt your wife!" Mary, the housekeeper who had watched Jason King grow up, said anxiously.

"No way! I want her!" Sophia suddenly raised her voice, placing the sharp knife on her wrist, threatening to draw blood with a single slice.

"Mary, be quiet! Emily, get over here!" Jason King roared in anger, his gaze on Emily was filled with hatred.

Emily looked straight at the indifferent man before her, her husband Jason King, and said bitterly, "Youre afraid she might hurt herself, but youre not afraid she might hurt me? Jason King, Im pregnant."

Jason King was taken aback for a second, then quickly regained his composure, coldly stating, "If you dont go over, Sophia might commit suicide. Listen carefully, you have no right to bear my child! Besides, you should know very well who caused her mental breakdown."

Emily felt a familiar dull pain in her heart, her face drained of color instantly. She knew Jason King didnt love her, but she didnt expect him to be so ruthless, even disregarding his own flesh and blood. His heartless words were like a sharp sword, brutally piercing Emilys heart!

Moreover, she didnt believe her brother could have assaulted Sophia Kim. After all, Jason King had already ruined the Thompson family. Her brother was also targeted by Jason King, who had him castrated and was now rotting in prison.

"Stay back! Youre all bad people; you killed my baby!" Sophia, with Emily as a shield, slowly moved towards the staircase.

Jason King didnt dare to move, his hands clenched tightly, his unfathomable eyes fixed on the two women. The red stain on Emilys neck pained his eyes.

The housekeepers were so scared that they all hurriedly left.

"Sophia, let me go..." Emilys voice trembled slightly.

"Emily Thompson, now that Ive lured you here, why would I let you go? I staged this act to ensure you and your unborn child die. I know youre pregnant." Sophia whispered into Emilys ear, her voice only audible to the two of them.

"You... you were really pretending to be crazy!" Emilys eyes were filled with fear. She looked to Jason King for help, always suspecting Sophia was pretending, but every time Jason King threw Sophias psychiatric diagnosis in her face, she dismissed her doubts.

"Yes! I was pretending to be crazy. You can tell Jason King, but do you think hell believe you? However, you wont live to tell!" Sophia revealed a sinister smile in Emilys ear, then with tearful eyes, she looked at Jason King.

"... Jason, Ive been defiled and have no face to see you anymore. Lets be husband and wife in the next life..." After saying this, Sophia hugged Emily and rolled down the stairs together, the knife in her hand stabbing Emilys stomach fiercely.

"Ah..." A shrill scream echoed throughout the mansion.
