The atmosphere in the yachts cabin was as icy as the winter winds of the North. Edward Cullens gaze, sharp and piercing, was fixed upon me with an intensity that made my blood run cold. I shrank back, my voice barely above a whisper as I tried to reason with him.
"And, you see, with my size, its quite difficult for me to move around, so its unlikely that I could be the one," I stammered, my back now pressed against the cold iron wall with nowhere else to retreat.
Edwards fists clenched with a sound that mirrored the rhythm of my racing heart. He advanced towards me with menacing steps, and I could do nothing but brace myself on the floor, my legs shaking uncontrollably.
"Do you know how to swim?" he asked, his tone deceptively calm.
I shook my head honestly. "No, I dont."
"Perfect!" Edwards smile was a fleeting moment of beauty amidst the chaos, like a blooming flower in the midst of a storm. Before I could process his actions, he pressed a button on a remote control.
With a resounding "clang," the floor beneath me gave way, and I plummeted into the icy depths of the sea.
The cold water rushed into my lungs, and I struggled to stay afloat amidst the salty waves. Edward Cullen stood on the deck of the yacht, waving a casual goodbye as the vessel moved further and further away from me.
As I treaded water, my limbs growing heavier with each passing moment, I resigned myself to the thought of becoming a咸鱼, letting the sea claim me. But just as I was about to give in to the darkness, a miracle happened. My once-cursed size became my savior, keeping me afloat like a buoy in the water.
The sun beat down mercilessly, and just as I thought I would perish not from drowning but from the heat, a fishermans net pulled me from the sea.
I was beyond grateful, ready to bow down and thank him as if he were my savior. I handed him all the valuables I had, tears streaming down my face as I promised to serve him in this life and the next.
The fisherman, clearly shocked by my fervor, suggested taking me to the police station to find my family. But knowing that Edward Cullens reach was far and wide, I knew I couldnt risk it. If he found out I was alive, I would be in grave danger.
So, with a heavy heart, I fled as soon as we reached the shore. With Jamie Frasers savings and a bit of coaxing from my parents for further studies, I managed to secure enough funds to leave the country.
Sitting on the plane, I waved a tearful goodbye to the land of opportunity, my heart aching with the bittersweet pain of leaving but also filled with the hope of a new beginning.
