“No, I won’t drink it!” Jane Eyre’s eyes were filled with terror as she stared at the glass of red wine in front of her. No matter how she struggled, she couldn’t resist Edward Cullen forcing the wine down her throat, the purpose of which was to make the drug inside take effect as quickly as possible.

“Edward Cullen, I am your wife, and you actually have someone do this to me, you... do you have any humanity at all?” Jane fell to the ground, coughing incessantly, her heart filling with layers of despair. Today was her and Edward Cullen’s wedding anniversary, but he actually treated her like this!

“You’re a murderer, and you don’t deserve to be my wife!” Edward’s tone was icy cold.

The words "murderer" stabbed Jane’s heart painfully. For two years, Edward’s hatred and torture towards her all stemmed from Claire Randall’s death!

“How many times do I have to say it, that woman’s death has nothing to do with me! That check was something she asked me for! She was a money-hungry woman; how could she deserve... ”

Before Jane could finish her sentence, Edward had fiercely grabbed her by the neck, gritting his teeth, “You dare to slander Claire again. Who else would want to deal with her besides you? If it wasn’t for you using money to force Claire away and hiring people to bully her, how could she have succumbed to the humiliation and committed suicide?!”

Looking at the hatred in Edward’s eyes, Jane struggled to defend herself, “I never hired anyone... to harm her, I’m not that despicable... Edward, why can’t you believe me just once?!”

For things she hadn’t done, she would never bear such a wrongful accusation. Unfortunately, Edward had no patience to listen and let go abruptly, pushing Jane away without hesitation as if a second more would taint him with something disgusting.

“I’m telling you, Jane Eyre, the pain Claire once endured, I want you to feel it too!”

“Edward Cullen! Treating me like this, you will regret it one day!” Jane’s voice was filled with despair, but the response Edward gave her was to leave without any hesitation.

The room became pitch black because of his departure, and Jane only felt her body getting hotter while her heart grew colder. It seemed the effect of the drug was taking place rapidly.

Lying on the ground with a bitter face, Jane thought of Edward handing out room keys to other men to humiliate her, and she felt that every breath was an unbearable torment.

She bit her lip and tried to maintain her last bit of clarity. The only thought in her mind was to escape this terrifying place!

Staggering to the door, just as Jane was about to press the handle, she heard a beep from outside, and then the door was pushed open. She felt herself stumble and fall into a cold embrace.

“Let go of me!” Jane felt utterly terrified. Edward had actually really found someone to come...

Before seeing it with her own eyes, she always held onto hope for him in her heart, but at this moment, she felt completely desperate!

Even more terrifying was that due to the control of the drug, she also craved for this man whose face she couldn’t even discern clearly!

“Let go of me, I can give you anything you want!” Jane bit her lip fiercely, trying to use the pain to keep herself awake. She couldn’t be controlled by the drug!

But as soon as she finished speaking, she felt herself being pressed harshly against the door.
