Love Beyond This Life

Emily Thompson awoke to the sharp, biting pain. As she was yanked off the hospital bed by William Blackstone, a scream echoed, followed by chaos, and then, only she and William remained in the private ward.

Her heart surgery was fresh, and the pain was so intense that breathing was a struggle. She looked at the man she had loved since childhood with a face as pale as death.

"Emily, do you really want to marry me that badly?" His cold words cut through the air like a knife.

Emilys mind went blank for a moment, and she gasped in pain, "Wh...what?"

The grip on her hair tightened, and William looked at her with icy rage, "Is Graces heart working well?"

Grace...

Emilys eyes widened suddenly, "How is Grace now? She..."

"How is she? Emily, at this point, are you still going to pretend?"

"What...do you mean?"

William sneered, "What do I mean? You orchestrated this accident, wasnt it for Graces heart? What a coincidence!"

Graces heart...?

She had just received...Graces heart?

William couldnt stand seeing Emilys innocent expression. He once thought she was the most innocent girl in the world besides Grace, but he didnt expect it to be just a venomous woman in sheeps clothing!

With a bang, William threw her back onto the bed, "Since you want to marry me so much, Ill fulfill your wish."

Emily almost passed out from the pain, not knowing what William wanted to do, but she instinctively refused, "No, I wont marry!"

She loved him very much, and her dream since childhood was to marry him and have children with him, but if she had to marry him under such circumstances...then she couldnt marry!

Otherwise, she would confirm his suspicions!

"No marriage? Its not up to you!" William laughed with a bloodthirsty smile, "Emily, you should have known from the moment you started plotting against Grace and got her heart, you should have known that I would marry you!"

She never asked him how he got the marriage certificate, nor what he wanted to do. She calmly accepted everything.

She knew William Blackstone too well; once he made up his mind, no matter how others explained, he would not listen to half a word.

Emily always thought that as long as she was obedient and quietly did Williams wife on the surface, they could live happily.

But she didnt expect that on the last night of Graces seventh burn, William, who was drunk, pulled her out of bed and dragged her to the garage, ignoring her cries of pain.
