"Lily!" Bing Xu frantically called out, searching for her child.

She had only dozed off for a moment, and now her child was gone! How could such a little one disappear so suddenly?

Bing Xu was on the verge of madness.

As she searched fruitlessly, she thought of Ray Xiao.

He was the father of her child and the CEO of GlobalTech, with an extensive network of resources; he could definitely help her find their child!

But his phone was unreachable.

Bing hurried to GlobalTech, heading straight for the floor where Rays office was located, intending to ask for his help in finding their child.

Bing had to squat down to tie her shoelace properly.

"Ray, can Lily stay at my place tonight?" At that moment, their neighbor Hua Rus voice suddenly came through, causing Bing to freeze in her actions.

Was Lily at Huas place? What was going on?

She instinctively hid behind a half-person-high potted plant and overheard Ray say sternly, "No! I will take Lily back! You are not allowed to approach her without permission again!"

"I wont! She is my child!"

Bing frowned, what did Hua mean by that?

She knew Hua liked Lily.

Although their families were close, how could she take the child out without her consent?

And claim her as her own?

"Hua, I hope you watch your words!" Rays tone was very serious.

"But Lily is clearly my daughter with you! Bing Xu is just a surrogate! That fact can never be changed!" Hua raised her voice, clearly agitated.

Even Bing, eavesdropping, couldnt help but shiver.

"Ray, Lily is our daughter, and Bing..." Hua still clung to her claim, boldly hugging Ray from behind as she spoke.

"Get off!" Ray roughly removed Huas arms, his voice thundering with indignation.

Seeing Hua embrace Ray, Bing felt as if she had been punched; her heart was in her throat.

Her intuition had been right; Hua was in love with her husband, Ray Xiao!

Fortunately, Rays extreme aversion to the embrace gave her some solace.

This was the first time Bing had seen Ray so angry.

But why didnt he refute Huas claim that Lily was her daughter?

Hua covered her face and ran towards the elevator.

As she passed Bing, she heard Huas sad and humiliated sobs.

Ray, agitated, took out a cigarette from his pocket, lit it with one puff, and then, considering Lily, extinguished it in the ashtray above the trash can.

He was always calm and composed.

Why was he so agitated now? Had he and Hua had a past relationship?

The unexplained naps during her early pregnancy, combined with Ray and Huas conversation, made Bings heart clench.

Bing unconsciously pulled a leaf from the potted plant, and the bell on her small backpack rang, caught by Rays sharp hearing.

"Whos there?"

Ray strode quickly over, and Bing stood up, her face pale.
