Torrential rain assaulted the ground like bullets, thunder rumbled continuously, and a sudden flash of cold light seemed to cut through the chaotic space.

The icy water ran down his cheeks, across his neck and chest.

Where am I? Chen Yang opened his eyes in confusion, questions immediately surfacing.

"Welcome to the world of the Divine Realm," a calm voice sounded beside his ear.

"Am I dead?" Chen Yang was a little surprised when he said this, realizing that he was terrifyingly calm.

After the recent succession of blows, he had seen through many things, which allowed him to remain composed.

"Death? This needs to be discussed from several aspects. I can only say that your body is dead," a faint figure gradually formed in front of Chen Yang.

"Oh, I understand. What exists now is my soul. So it turns out that there really is such a thing as the soul after death," Chen Yangs tone was as if he were talking about someone elses experience.

"More or less," the figure looked at him appreciatively, "Young man, you are strange. Dont you care about your life at all? Yet your obsession with living is very strong, so much so that you can actually..."

"No, I care, I told myself I must live before I died," Chen Yang replied calmly, "But since Im dead, what else can I do?" He examined himself, becoming quite interested.

In the center of the palace, a high platform stood, and the figure sat atop it.

In the air of the palace, countless colorful light points floated, now seemingly summoned, flowing towards the figure. In just a few seconds, the figure gradually became clear, every part of its body solidifying into form.

He was an old man who had lived a long life, his loose skin and layers of wrinkles revealing the secret of his age.

He was in the twilight of his life. Although advancements in life energy theory and gene modification had granted the citizens of this generation a lifespan close to one hundred and fifty years, death remained an insurmountable barrier for all.

The old mans eyes, however, did not convey the sense of age and remoteness one might expect; they were like two unfathomable pools of water, occasionally flashing with light. Overall, he was a very amiable-looking person.

Chen Yang stared in astonishment at these changes, and the old man suddenly laughed, "This is my world, which I call the Divine Realm. Within this domain, if I want mountains, there are mountains; if I want water, there is water; if I say there should be light, the world is filled with light."
