Christian Greys voice was as cold as ice as he announced to Anastasia Steele, "Im not discussing this with you, Im merely informing you that you will sign this divorce agreement whether you like it or not!" Anastasia had envisioned countless scenarios of their first conversation, but this opening line caught her completely off guard.
In their two years of marriage, they lived under the same roof yet had no physical contact whatsoever. The number of times they dined together could be counted on one hand. "That must be a disappointment for you," Anastasia replied, her heart aching from her teenage crush that had blossomed into love for Christian. She had finally married him and wasnt about to let him go easily: "I wont sign this agreement."
Christian grabbed Anastasia by the collar, his eyes devoid of any emotion. "You used your bone marrow to bargain for this marriage, you should have anticipated a day like this!" Anastasia gasped as he tightened his grip around her neck, cutting off her air supply.
"Let... go..." Anastasias face turned red, her breaths coming in short gasps as she pounded on Christians broad chest. But he seemed possessed, showing no intention of releasing her. His fingers dug into her pale skin, drawing blood.
"Youre so cheap, Anastasia! Cheap to the bone!" He whispered scornfully into her ear, his breath hot against her skin. Anastasia looked down, realizing she had just finished her bath and was only in a robe, without any undergarments.
Christian released her, and in one swift movement, he pushed her down. Anastasia felt a mix of fear and tension as this was the first time in two years that they had been this close.
His actions were rough and direct. "Youre so lowly, Anastasia," Christian cursed coldly, "Im telling you, if you dont divorce, this is just the beginning!"
Anastasia had hoped that after two years, Christian might have developed some affection for her, but it seemed this was just another tactic to make her leave.
Afterward, Christian got up, his expression indifferent as he straightened his clothes and left without looking back. As the sound of the slamming door echoed through the room, tears slowly rolled down Anastasias cheeks. If she could, she would have regretted it all...
