Heartache in the Late Afternoon Sky

At the Boston Maternity Hospital, Isabella Swan struggled with all her might, but she was no match for the two burly men who dragged her through the dusty corridor without a hint of compassion. "Let me go! Dont touch me! Get away from me!" Her desperate screams echoed through the hospital halls, yet the people around her remained indifferent.

As the operating room door loomed closer, Isabellas despair deepened. She was powerless to escape her fate. A pair of polished leather shoes stopped right in front of her. Looking up, she saw the face she had etched in her heart, and her spirit crumbled.

"Isabella, stop struggling. It will be easier if you just obey," Edward Cullen said coldly, looking down at her with no more warmth than if she were a piece of trash.

"Edward, do you hate me that much?" Isabella looked at him with a desperation that felt like her strength was being drained from her body, her pain contorting her features.

But the man seemed to find humor in her despair, a cruel smile playing on his lips as he bent down to say, "Dont you know? Isabella, I hate you more than you can imagine. I wish I could kill you!"

His gaze turned sharp, as if transforming into a knife that stabbed her heart. Edward seemed to relish in her pain, enjoying her bleeding misery.

"Then just kill me! Why torture me like this?" Isabella was on the brink of collapse, staring at him with eyes that turned from waves to a stagnant pool.

Edward, nonchalant, straightened up and looked down at her, his pride on full display. "Im not going to let you die that easily. I will torture you until you go mad, until you cant endure any more!"

Isabella pressed her lips tightly, biting back tears, not wanting to appear any more pitiful. Even after hearing those words countless times, she couldnt become numb to the bone-gnawing pain that consumed her life and her once passionate love.

She loved Edward Cullen with all her heart and soul. But he despised her.

"Take her in for the operation!" Edward commanded with a flick of his hand.

The two men continued to drag Isabella into the operating room. As she passed by him, she desperately clung to his pant leg, her hand white from the force, veins standing out, choking out the words: "Its your child..."

Edward looked down at her with disgust, kicked her hand away, and took out a handkerchief to clean the spot she had touched, as if afraid she had dirtied him. He spoke to her with impatience and coldness: "Get in there! You dont deserve to bear my child!"

The operating room door opened and closed, severing Isabellas last hope.

She was forced onto the operating table, her hands tightly bound to the sides, unable to move an inch.

The medical equipment around her started up one by one, humming into action, the sound piercing Isabellas ears.

Her heart pounded frantically, threatening to burst from her chest, each beat a desperate plea for her to accept reality.

But how could she accept such a cruel reality...

The doctor, dressed in scrubs and gloves, approached her. He seemed unfazed by the scene, as if he had seen it all before.

Isabella was filled with dread, the cold needle piercing her vein, the cold liquid mixing with her blood, flowing through her veins, leaving a trail of scars wherever it went.
