Sean Parker looked at the numbers on the document and didnt answer directly, instead, he countered with a question: "Who gave this to you?"
"Do you think it matters who gave this to me? Sean Parker, is whats on here true?" Linda Lee was astonished by his reaction. Just a moment ago, she was still holding onto the hope that everything in these documents was fabricated. But Seans response made her realize with stark clarity that it was all true!
Sean tore the papers in his hands into pieces, his face stern: "What difference does it make if its true or false? Linda Lee, you know very well what your family is like. This is called reaping what you sow."
"What do you mean by that?" Linda was bewildered, not understanding what he was talking about. "What do you mean by reaping what you sow? Sean Parker! Do you have a conscience when you say these things?"
Sean looked at her with disgust and sneered, "So you like to pretend, dont you? Then Ill continue to play along with you. I wont divorce you!"
"Sean Parker, what are you talking about? For five years, cant you give me a break? Ever since the car accident five years ago, youve changed. No, it should be said that you changed after the plane crash of your parents. But I cant figure out whats wrong. What exactly are you hiding from me?" Linda wiped her tears and finally asked the questions that had been puzzling her for years.
Seans gaze changed abruptly when she mentioned his parents. His eyes were filled with intense hatred, his fists clenched so hard that the veins on the back of his hands bulged, and he gritted his teeth: "Alright, you dare to mention my parents matter, dont you? Linda Lee! Can you say you dont know anything about it at all?"
"Did you not have the slightest clue when your parents planned to kill my parents? But how can you still pretend to be so innocent in front of me? Do you think that because I love you, I can forgive such a heinous act your family has done? This is about my parents lives, not a toy that can be compromised just because you act cute!"
Linda was completely confused by his sudden questioning. She understood every word he said, but she just couldnt comprehend what he was talking about. How could he attribute the accident of his uncle and aunt to her parents?
"At this point, you still want to give me such a look?" Sean suddenly felt very agitated. He aggressively approached her, grabbed her by the chin, and when he met her wet gaze, his heart felt as if pricked by a needle.
He averted his gaze, his slightly hooked lips with a hint of bitterness: "Linda Lee, youre counting on the fact that I cant bear to be ruthless with you, arent you? Very well, your plan is perfect! Very successful! I dont even want to let go of you at this point! Those damn memories have completely imprisoned me! But it doesnt matter, if were going to hell, then well go together!"
"Cant bear to be ruthless? In the past five years, youve ignored me, not allowed me to work, taken away all the properties from my parents and under my name, and found a mistress outside. You call this not being ruthless enough? What would be considered ruthless then?"
"Go to hell? After you killed my parents and your own child, you can still indulge in a life of pleasure every day. Is this what you call going to hell?" Linda looked at the man in front of her, once the gentlest person to her, the person she loved the most.
But now, as she looked at him, it was as if she was looking at a complete stranger.
Sean remained unmoved, straightened up, and tidied his clothes. "Let you see what I can be more ruthless about."
"What are you going to do?" Lindas eyes widened, staring at him in horror.
Sean didnt answer her but took out his phone and made a call to someone: "Freeze all of Mrs. Parkers bank cards, please. Hire a few housekeepers to come to the Parker residence and have two bodyguards guard the door."
"Sean Parker! Are you crazy? Ive quit my job for you, cut off all my social circles, and in these years, Ive been alone in this house. Now you want to completely lock me up here?" Linda figured out his intentions and questioned him.
"This is your punishment!" Sean coldly threw out this sentence and quickly locked her in the room, warning her through the door, "From today on, you wont be able to leave the Parker house a single step."
