In fact, Jane Eyre didnt particularly like this city; when it snowed, it seemed endless, the dark sky without a glimmer of light, making her heart feel heavy as well.

At the hospital, Jane looked at Adam Wilmont, who was holding the report, and asked softly, "Is there any change in my condition?"

"Miss Eyre, are you sure you just want to rely on medication?" Adam put down the report, his fingers interlaced, and asked seriously.

Jane nodded, unable to tell a stranger that she couldnt afford chemotherapy, such an expensive life-prolonging project. After calculating her balance, she could only afford half a years worth of medicine.

On the other side, Edward Cullen looked at his secretary, Isabelle, who was as gentle as water in his arms, and couldnt help but think of Janes pale and thin appearance, which only added to his annoyance.

In bed, Isabelle pouted and said, "Mr. Cullen, I want~~"

Edward raised an eyebrow and teased, "What, not satisfied?"

"No way!" Isabelles crisp voice made him look dazed for a moment, remembering that Jane had also smiled at him skillfully, but as time passed, their interactions were more like a habit.

Edward shook his head, turned over and pressed Isabelle under him...

With this woman, he could indulge himself, showing his restrained madness and rudeness.

In the apartment—

Jane returned home and looked at the empty room, sighing imperceptibly.

She flipped through the calendar, her hand paused, that day was coming again.

She took out her phone and dialed Edwards number.

"When are you coming back? In two days, its the anniversary of my parents death," Jane asked.

"Go by yourself, I wont be able to make it," Edward got up, hugging Isabelle who was nestled like a kitten in his arms, and felt even more that Jane didnt understand the romance.

Jane was silent for two seconds and insisted, "Edward, you have to come back."

She rarely spoke to Edward like this, but when it came to the bottom line, she never backed down.

Her parents had not agreed with her and Edward when they were alive. If she went alone, she was afraid that her parents would not rest in peace.

The man on the other side was stunned and became irritable on the spot: "When can you stop pressuring me with your parents!"

Jane felt a suffocation, facing the impatient Edward, her heart was densely painful.

"Ah." Isabelle suddenly exclaimed in pain because she was pressed on her hair.

Edward glared at her, speaking into the silent microphone, feeling strangely guilty, and finally softened: "Alright, Ill be back."

Jane felt her heart being tightly grasped, and the female voice on the phone, she heard it clearly.

After hanging up the phone, she silently returned to her room and sat down, covering herself tightly with a quilt.

The next second, the unrestrained crying slowly came out.

The air inside the quilt was too stuffy, and the woman pulled down the quilt, revealing a face full of tear stains, her eyes like a broken faucet, continuously flowing with tears.

In the hotel, Edward pushed Isabelle away, pinching her jaw and warning, "Dont try to scheme to get promoted, my wifes position is not allowed to be shaken by anyone!"

Looking at Edwards resolute departure, Isabelle covered her stomach with a face full of resentment, took out her phone and dialed a number: "Find a way to let Jane know about my existence. She cant even hold her mans heart, why should she still occupy that position and not let go!"

Edward drove aimlessly on the street, thinking of Janes indifferent appearance, and felt even more agitated.

Over the years, everyone around has been catering to him, only Jane has always been that light appearance. After getting used to the splendid flowers outside, she felt that this woman was too bland.

Edward was thinking about things, and didnt notice the red light in front of him at all, nor did he notice the truck coming from the intersection.

"Bang!"

Jane received the call and ran to the hospital in a daze, not even having time to change her clothes.

"Excuse me, where is the man who was just sent here in a car accident?" she asked a nurse.

The nurse looked at her anxious appearance strangely and pointed in a direction.

Jane looked along and was nailed on the spot, unable to move.

Edward couldnt see any signs of injury except for his clothes being a bit messy, and a woman with delicate makeup was leaning against him in fear...

Jane felt her stomach cramp and couldnt help but hold onto the little nurse beside her.

"Miss, are you okay?" the little nurse panicked.

Jane waved her hand and turned her head to rush out of the hospital.

For the first time, she saw Edward with another woman so directly, and Jane didnt know how to react. The first thought in her mind was to leave here.

Edward seemed to sense something and turned his head to look, but he only saw a fleeing back.

He stood up abruptly and said to the secretary, "Give me your car keys." He paused and then said, "Forget it, you wait here, Ill cover all the medical expenses for the person inside."

When he arrived home panting, he opened the door and saw Jane squatting palely at the entrance. She looked over when she heard the movement, her eyes hollow, as if she had lost all her vitality.

"Jane," Edward opened his mouth, but he didnt know how to continue.

Jane pushed him out and said with a cry in her voice, "Why did you let me see! You knew the hospital would call me, you knew——!"

Edward couldnt remember how long it had been since he had seen such a Jane. Looking at the woman with a red nose tip from the cold, he suddenly felt a long-lost guilt and gently said, "Jane, dont be angry."

His eyes were truly panicked and helpless.

Janes heart softened at this moment.

At this moment, Edwards phone lit up. He took a look and his expression changed immediately.

Jane could see that it was tension and anger. The woman she met in the hospital came to her mind, and she had a bad premonition.

"I have something to do, Ill explain to you later," Edward said, turning and leaving in a hurry.

Jane put on her thick down jacket and followed him down, watching the man get in the car and speed away. She also took a taxi to follow!

But she didnt expect that Edward actually went back to the hospital to find that woman.

He stood there talking about something, and the woman was holding her flat belly with both hands.

She glanced at the two coldly, turned around and bumped into her attending doctor, Adam Wilmont. She pulled him aside and asked directly, "I want to have a child, is it possible?"

"Miss Eyre, your current condition is not suitable for pregnancy," Adam frowned slightly, his tone a bit heavy.

Janes emotions began to get excited: "I must get pregnant! If you cant do it, Ill change people!"

Adam glanced around, his eyes showing a rare sharpness: "Miss Eyre, you can change people, but I advise you, life is only one."

Janes eyes suddenly turned red, and she shouted, "What do you understand!" Then she turned and ran out of the hospital.

Looking at the two not far away, Jane leaned against the wall in despair, forcibly holding back the sadness still couldnt help but blur, and tears blurred her eyes in an instant.

Edward, nine years, how did we not go on?
