The world seemed to conspire against Jane Eyre, casting her under a cloud of malice and deceit. Yet, she remained steadfast in her love for Edward Cullen, oblivious to the scorn that followed her every step. Little did anyone know the significance he held in her life, or the sacrifices she had made to stand by his side.
It was their third anniversary, a day Jane had been eagerly anticipating. The promise of Edwards return for dinner had her heart fluttering with joy for days. As she glanced at the clock, her anxiety grew. The table was laden with a feast, yet something was amiss. A cake! How could she forget the cake on their anniversary?
Breathless, Jane returned to the Cullen Villa, her heart pounding with excitement at the sight of Edwards Jaguar in the courtyard. It had been ages since she had seen him. Suppressing her excitement, she took a deep breath and pushed open the door.
"Edward, youre back..."
The words died on her lips as the delicate cake box slipped from her fingers, hitting the floor with a thud. The sounds of intimacy filled her ears, and the scene before her was like a sharp blade piercing her heart. The couple on the sofa and the shattered cake seemed to mock her foolish hopes.
She should have known. His return was nothing but a new method of torture. He had promised her a life of agony.
Jane clenched her fists, her eyes brimming with pain as she stared at the couple on the sofa. In a fit of rage, she dragged the disheveled woman off the sofa and threw her out the door.
"Bang!"
The door slammed shut, echoing her inner turmoil. Jane gasped for breath, her body shaking uncontrollably as the scene replayed in her mind.
His actions were a testament to his hatred for her, etched deep into her soul. Jane scoffed at herself, her lips curling into a bitter smile as she turned to face Edwards cold, loathing gaze.
Without waiting for her to react, his hand clamped around her neck, his grip tight enough to make her wish for immediate death.
"Jane Eyre, youre courting death!"
Ignoring the restriction on her breath, Jane feigned composure, his cruel words rolling off her back as she looked up at him defiantly, hope flickering in her eyes. "You promised to have dinner with me. Lets go eat..."
Her words were cut short as she was flung aside by Edward.
Janes back hit the doorknob, the sharp pain making her scalp tingle as she slumped to the ground, coughing violently, gasping for the air that had been denied her.
But Edward seemed oblivious, his voice cold and cutting as he shattered her hopes. "I warn you not to indulge in these unrealistic fantasies. Otherwise, Ill make your life even more unbearable. Get out of my sight!"
Watching Edwards retreating figure, Jane closed her eyes in despair, making her final plea.
She screamed with a heart-wrenching pain, "Edward, what if I told you that it wasnt Claire who saved you back then, but me? It was me who risked everything to save you when you were unconscious and blind..."
Edward spun around abruptly, his eyes filling with rage, mercilessly interrupting her.
"Do you want to continue lying, that you were severely injured saving me, and spent three months in the hospital?"
Edwards fist, grazing her ear, slammed into the door behind her.
"Shut up. Youve woven these lies with all your might, just to get me to look at you, havent you?" His eyes shot out a bloodthirsty light, his lips curling, "Alright, since you so desperately want to be my Edward Cullens woman, Ill fulfill your wish!"
With that, Edward roughly pulled Jane towards the living room.
Jane was pushed down onto the sofa, her face filled with horror. Yes, she had dreamed of being his woman, but not in such a humiliating way.
"Edward, let me go!"
"Let you go? Ha... Who was it that used the excuse of a family alliance to marry me by all means? And who harmed Claire to the point where shes still lying in the hospital?!"
At the thought, he wished he could strangle her right then and there.
Edwards eyes were filled with more rage, and he tore at her clothes without any regard.
Jane struggled, but the difference in strength between men and women only made her plead for mercy.
"Please dont..." The immense shame overwhelmed her, tears streaming down her cheeks.
Edward stared coldly at Jane, "Please dont? Jane Eyre, isnt this what you wanted?"
His heart filled with anger, Edward showed no mercy.
After a long while.
Jane woke up from the sofa in a daze, her body aching as if torn apart. Looking down, she saw the obscene traces.
"Mrs. Cullen, how do you like the view?"
Hearing this, Jane woke up as if from a dream, pulling the thin blanket from the sofa to cover her body, her shoulders trembling slightly, her face bloodless as she looked at the source of the voice, her dark eyes now filled with a hint of anger.
Standing at the stairway, Edward, already dressed neatly, looked at her with cold eyes. With a flick of his hand, a small box filled with pills landed at her feet. "Take this!"
Birth control pills... Jane averted her gaze in pain, asking casually.
"Ill take it later. Its so late, where are you going?"
Edward did not answer her, walking towards the door, his steps carrying a hint of urgency.
Jane understood instantly, her heart growing cold inch by inch. Edwards indifference further stimulated her, and she vented uncontrollably.
"I forbid you to go to her! Today is our anniversary, you have to stay home with me, do you hear me? Dont go to her!" Jane shouted uncontrollably, running over and pulling at his clothes with all her might!
"If you go, Ill call Grandpa right away, Ill make him send her to a place even further!"
Hearing Janes last sentence, Edward suddenly stopped, looking down at the clothes she was holding with disgust.
Edward looked down at Jane with a cold sneer, "Claire has already woken up, do you think Ill give you a chance to harm her again?"
With a lift of his hand, Edward pushed her away without any hesitation, and Jane lost her balance and fell towards the half-person-high porcelain corner...
