As North as Ever
**
In front of the Sterling Group building.
Jo North looked disinterestedly into the distance, a voice in her heart cursing: I swear, what happened to the sunny day promised? Whats this pouring down now?
She glanced around; pedestrians were rushing by, and it was difficult to hail a taxi at the moment.
Jo North was about to head back to the company to chat with the security guard when she felt a tug on her pants leg.
She looked down.
A three or four-year-old adorable little dumpling was hugging her lower leg, looking up at her with big, dark eyes.
What a cute little creature!
Jo North was about to bend over to greet the little dumpling when she heard his soft and sticky voice: "Mommy."
Jo North was stunned.
Oh my god, she was still a virgin, okay? Where did this little kid come from?
"Mommy, Im tired. Carry me." The little dumpling looked at her, reaching out for a hug.
Jo North hesitated for a moment, but the little dumpling was just too cute; she couldnt refuse his request. She bent down and picked him up, smiling, "Little dumpling, whats your name? How did you end up here?"
"Mommy, my name is Baby." The little dumpling blinked his beautiful big eyes, responding in a soft and sticky manner, and stretched his short, chubby little arms around Jo Norths neck. His little head nestled against her neck, rubbing affectionately, and he took a deep breath.
Mmm, thats the smell of a mother.
Jo North felt a bit helpless and quickly corrected, "Baby, Im not your mommy, youve mistaken me for someone else."
The little dumpling shook his head vigorously, seemingly panicked, clinging tightly to her neck, his little mouth murmuring, "No, you are Babys mommy."
His voice was tinged with tears, and Jo Norths heart softened again.
Seeing that it was about to get dark, the little guys family must be worried, right?
Although holding the little dumpling was comfortable, and she didnt want to let go.
After thinking for a moment, Jo North turned with the little dumpling in her arms and entered the lobby, approaching the security guard to ask if he knew the parents of this child.
This is Sterling Group; where did this child come from?
Naturally, the security guard had no idea where Baby came from.
The little dumpling insisted on calling her mommy and refused to say where his home was.
With no other choice, Jo North had to call the police.
When the police arrived, the little dumpling cried so pitifully, as if Jo North was really his birth mother, and he was about to be abandoned by his real mommy.
The police officer stared straight at Jo North, thinking she was trying to abandon a child, warning her not to do something conscience-destroying.
Really, when did she do something conscience-destroying? Baby was not her child, okay?
Looking down at the little dumplings red eyes, and then at his pitiful appearance, Jo Norths heart softened completely.
In the end, Jo North had no choice but to take the little dumpling, hail a taxi, and go home.
There were no childrens clothes at home, so Jo North could only dress him in her T-shirt.
The little dumpling was small, and in her clothes, he looked especially adorable, especially when he looked at you with his dark eyes, which could melt your heart.
Jo North affectionately kissed him several times, held his soft body, and after a while of indulging, finally had a conscience and asked, "Baby, tell auntie where your home is, and Ill take you home, okay?"
Hearing that Jo North wanted to send him away, the light in the little dumplings eyes instantly extinguished, and he wailed out loud.
